Fourth Week

A second murder shook the town of Cartesio. Clarisse's ambush plan ended with Katsuki Bakugou's death. Now what?

Nothing to be done other than continuing their life and watch what happens. After two weeks, after the deaths they have seen, it's hard to think there's a way out. The only option is to wait for the right chance to turn the tables and see a weak point in the Sergeant's plans -- and hopefully not see any murders.

The townspeople's attitude towards the tourists soured even more. The destruction of the church was much worse than anything they had seen so far, and they ran out of patience. People who in the past were nice and wanted nothing more than to make the tourists happy now aren't afraid of saying to their faces what's what. Random pedestrians shout at the visitors, telling them to stop being criminals. Although there are a few who have more patience than the rest, general opinion is clear:

The tourists are nuisances, to say the least.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

...Yes. That is what I meant. [taking this pen and chicken scratching a security detail in, I guess!!]

Though I won't be much of a bouncer without Cockscomb, you know.

Yup. And I haven't seen anything like it in the whole town, either... well, it's more for defense anyway, if I'm being totally honest.

[It's long as well as heavy and pointy at the end, that thing is for shooing people out of her bubble.]

So... if there's someone else who can do this with me... that might be a good thing to look into.

Maybe they'll have a garden center here someday. Might find one there.

[OH NEVER MIND... THERE SOMEONE IS.]

[ he nods, giving her a very small smile. ]

[Niwa smiles back politely, in spite of Jughead's pen clicking.]

I suppose we'll have to come up with some kind of signal in case I need you to leave the stage.

[ he sighs ]

I'll do my best not to set you back too much.

Gerard might be able to help as well, although I did plan to have him help for my part of the program.

Ooh, really? What can he offer, security-wise?

[She's very intrigued! After all, using him would remove the middle man when it came to surveilling and dispatching saboteurs.]

He knows how to dive down on and pin someone with minimal injury, or simply provide a barrier between a shooter and the audience. He can also summon small rocks that should be able to do some damage, or distract people. Normally they're larger, but it seems his abilities have been limited as well. [There's a pause.] He can also hit people to break bones or deal more harm, but I hope that won't end up necessary.

[making a mental note of all of these....and how Franciscus is really preparing for the WORST case security scenarios, which is interesting. He apparently trusts everyone about as much as she does, which she kinda appreciates.]

Gosh... A barrier for a shooter? You mean he's impervious to bullets? I really hope it doesn't come to all of that either, but...

[Look, there's guns in this town. If they exist, they can be used.] Bullets don't hurt him as much. He's a Rock-type, after all. Only someone who has experience with fighting them can really hurt them with weapons, and even then that's only with weapons they're trained with.

He can cover for Oda when he’s up. Keep a rotating schedule going.

That sounds good. Hopefully none of this will end up necessary.

That's true, though I was more considering the fact that it's less likely for someone to make a murder attempt in public.
