A second murder shook the town of Cartesio. Clarisse's ambush plan ended with Katsuki Bakugou's death. Now what?
Nothing to be done other than continuing their life and watch what happens. After two weeks, after the deaths they have seen, it's hard to think there's a way out. The only option is to wait for the right chance to turn the tables and see a weak point in the Sergeant's plans -- and hopefully not see any murders.
The townspeople's attitude towards the tourists soured even more. The destruction of the church was much worse than anything they had seen so far, and they ran out of patience. People who in the past were nice and wanted nothing more than to make the tourists happy now aren't afraid of saying to their faces what's what. Random pedestrians shout at the visitors, telling them to stop being criminals. Although there are a few who have more patience than the rest, general opinion is clear:
The tourists are nuisances, to say the least.
In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and
the maps have been updated once again.

TUESDAY
MOTIVE
Lodge time.
[...it's that time. He just says those two words to those he finds, and it's pretty clear what he means. When everyone enters the Lodge, they find the Sergeant slowly walking around. He seems to not be so certain about what he's going to say, but now that everybody is here, he has to proceed]
I have to admit this is going to be hard to believe, but humor me for a moment: do you want to be immortal? Because I can make you immortal.
[It seems he realizes how absurd that must sound, because he doesn't have the same assertivity he usually has when talking to everybody. He sounds closer to the one-on-one conversations instead of to the announcements he usually makes]
Think about it. That'd be useful to you, wouldn't it? You get to leave this town and you will be immortal. Don't worry about the nasty side effects, I can take care of them. No strings attached, I can make sure of it.
It doesn't matter to me if you believe it or not -- the offer is there, so feel free to take it. I guess the deadline is like usual? And if you don't...then you won't be immortal, I guess.
You can leave now.
[It almost feels like the Sergeant is offering something he shouldn't, but he seems unwilling to talk about it right now. Motive time over!]

Too bad she doesn't really have the confidence to commit over this kind of outlandish promise. Even the Sarge doesn't look like he believes this motive, so it's better to leave it alone...]

NEWSPAPER - APRIL 24TH
Something outrageous has occurred after yesterday's newspaper has already been printed. In the night from April 22nd to April 23rd a hole appeared in the wall of our fire station. The cause is totally unknown as nobody has heard any commotion or witnessed suspicious activity.
Residents have already formed their own theories, however, which were only fueled by two of the tourists entering the station through the hole today and bugging the fire men on duty with questions. Indeed, even this reporter thinks it is hard to not suspect them whenever acts of vandalism occur around town. There is no precedent of broken walls in Cartesio history before their arrival, but now the tally has gone up to 2 in the span of only a week. Will anyone in town retain privacy at this rate?
-------
[There seem to be a few unusual problems during the night in Cartesio. Anyone who passes by the graveyard will find one of the windows of the mausoleum was shattered into pieces. Approaching will make them notice the intense smell of many broken eggs inside.
Some of the motel rooms also have strange happenings:
*Jughead's wall has one single horizontal slash, from side to side.
*Millium's wall has a smear of blood, shapeless.
*Keith's wall has even more blood. Someone with good eyesight will notice a couple slashes underneath the bloodstains]
early morning
So it is that she wakes up with the sun, sitting up in her bed and yawning with a big stretch... and then freezes solid in that pose as she notices a strange splotch on the wall across from her that absolutely wasn't there when she went to sleep.]
...Um...
[Nervously, she creeps out of bed, going over to fumble with the light to turn it on to get a better look at it.
...Welp. If that's not blood, it's certainly doing a great job pretending to be blood, and either way? This is way too close to a haunting for her to be comfortable with.
As such, she responds in the most logical way possible: by letting out a shriek of terror, running over to her bed to gather up a blanket, teddy bear, and pillow, and bolting out of her room and down the stairs at top speed. She nearly trips over that blanket and down the stairs, but it's fine, she's fine, she catches herself before she can kill herself by mistake.
Anyone wondering what that noise and subsequent racket was will find her door ajar and Millium herself huddled in a chair down in the lounge. She has a pillow tucked behind her head, which is the only part of her that's poking out of the tight blanket burrito she's formed around her tiny frame. She looks shaken and pale.]

[Good morning, everyone. Have Keith in your face as you’re trying to mind your own business. He thought getting woken up by the cops was the lousiest way to wake up, but seeåing blood all over his walls along with stabby marks is vying for that spot easily. He’s usually fairly no-nonsense deadpan about approaching people with inquiries, and he’s certainly that today, but there’s also a layer of agitation that’s new. Was he a little freaked out? No. Not at all.]
Did something get into your room last night?
police station - prior to the motive; closed to NPCs
[Well Keith said he was going to help Nanette gather some evidence to justify a police investigation on the Sergeant, so if the asshole’s going to have certain predictable habits to exploit then he’s going to exploit them. So when the Sergeant shows up right on time to insist on the usual shindig at the Lodge, Keith simply turns to Nanette.]
You should see this. Mind coming with me?
back at the motel - investigation! (open to PCs too!)
[Well since there are now shenanigans going down at the motel, it's time to scour this place for anything else that's weird or possibly contributing to the weirdness of it. Time to go poking around, looking for anything unusual beginning in the sotrage closet or in one of the rooms that were empty from the start!]

MEETING
She plans on being productive this week; tears unnecessary unless she really has to.
For once, she's kind of grateful that the motive is as it is, but... there's still concern there. Nevertheless, the meeting note reads, in that neat font of hers: ]
I have a few things to tell everyone, and I think that we should be sharing any information that we've found about the town and the people in it. Feel free to meet me in front of the motel lodge at three, but please don't force yourself to come if you don't want to.
I'll be bringing some food if you haven't eaten at that point, too.
❀ Kinomoto Sakura
[ True to her word, she does go to that exact location-- as for the food that she's brought, she's made some tamagoyaki; a lot of it is for practice, as she's still not used to making them, but they're not... terrible? They're eggsactly what you'd expect from a middle schooler that's learning and isn't. You know.
Doing random stuff to it.
Putting that aside, though. Sakura stands in front of everyone that's shown up and clears her throat to call attention. ]
Um... thanks, everyone, for coming. I know I told a few of you about this already, but I wanted everyone to be on the same page, and for everyone to share any other information that I don't know yet, too. That way, we can work together.
The most important thing is what I learned last Thursday, from the Sergeant-san. He told me that none of the members from our past group went back home. They're all still here, in this town. He told me that he erased their memories of [ she swallows hard, difficult to speak about it ] the murder that happened before April first and about the Sergeant-san himself. He also told me that the three of us -- we were specifically chosen to have a second chance to go back home; I assume that's for our real homes.
[...]
That's all I have, I think. If anyone else has anything to say, I'd really appreciate hearing about it. And I think everyone else would, too. Let's help each other, okay?

after the meeting, you can find him in the bakery, looking around at the cakes and various pastries. he really wants to get something, because he feels awful, and sweets make everything better, right? there’s a small cake he’s been eyeing, topped with cream and fruit. he’s staring at it intensely.
later in the evening, he makes his way to the community kitchen. Osomatsu had a talk with someone about learning how to cook, and he’s kind of interested. he wonders if this would be a good place to learn. though the building seems kind of unstable, even though it’s clean now]

The bakery. Where he can be found just staring a bread. Normal loaves of bread, not even seeded.]
...Never thought I'd think bread was appetizing after having to eat it green.
[To the surprise of no one. He buys one whole loaf and some smaller rolls. One of said rolls is getting a nibble as he goes somewhere quieter to enjoy his bounty. No butter or spread, he's just straight up going to eat this bread.
Going straight down the road to the graveyard. Where he sits at the wall for a moment to rearrange his bread bag. That's when the smell hits. The hell is that?
And slowly, still clutching his bread, he creeps up to the source and tries to peak through the window. He's dealt with worse smells, this is fine.]
