Fourth Week

A second murder shook the town of Cartesio. Clarisse's ambush plan ended with Katsuki Bakugou's death. Now what?

Nothing to be done other than continuing their life and watch what happens. After two weeks, after the deaths they have seen, it's hard to think there's a way out. The only option is to wait for the right chance to turn the tables and see a weak point in the Sergeant's plans -- and hopefully not see any murders.

The townspeople's attitude towards the tourists soured even more. The destruction of the church was much worse than anything they had seen so far, and they ran out of patience. People who in the past were nice and wanted nothing more than to make the tourists happy now aren't afraid of saying to their faces what's what. Random pedestrians shout at the visitors, telling them to stop being criminals. Although there are a few who have more patience than the rest, general opinion is clear:

The tourists are nuisances, to say the least.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

For a conversation. I think it's about time I talk to you all directly, yes?

...ah, you're with the newspaper, aren't you?

[ now that the anxiety is fading and she sees the camera ]

That may be for the best, though I wonder why you didn't seek us out from the beginning.

[cartesio]

With everything that has happened? I didn't really feel brave enough to come face you all. Only today I decided to do so.

And I'm also a bit of a procrastinator. Bad habit.

[prayerwheel]

...fair. I'd say 'we don't bite', but.

[ ahaha. ahahahahahaha. ]

What changed your mind?

[cartesio]

How weird you all are being. A talent show being organized? And not too long afterwards, blood and slash marks in this motel?

You all are a mystery, and it's my duty to get to the bottom of it.

[prayerwheel]

Honestly, we don't know very much more than you do, especially on the topic of the bloody rooms.

[ She frowns, looking clearly unnerved by it. ]

I can't speak much for the group, but if you have any questions I'll do my best to answer them.

[cartesio]

[Once they're all settled, he starts:]

Okay, first things first: what's up with you guys murdering each other? That's...not right, you know.

[prayerwheel]

That's largely the Sergeant's provocation. He expects us to turn on each other for a prize...or a threat.

[cartesio]

Again with the Sergeant... [He mumbled that] You guys sure are fond of pointing fingers at him. Why's that?

[prayerwheel]

He chooses to regularly antagonize us and threaten our loved ones, including, as I just said, pushing us to murder each other.

[cartesio]

And I suppose you have proof to back that accusation?

[prayerwheel]

[ a heavy sigh ]

Not that I know of. He's written notes to us, but that's about it...it's mostly speeches.

[cartesio]

Then I hope you'll understand, it's hard to take your word for it, after everything you've been involved in.

[prayerwheel]

Then what kind of proof would you like? There's only so much we can do, but it would be easier for everyone if the townspeople didn't think us monsters.
