Fourth Week

A second murder shook the town of Cartesio. Clarisse's ambush plan ended with Katsuki Bakugou's death. Now what?

Nothing to be done other than continuing their life and watch what happens. After two weeks, after the deaths they have seen, it's hard to think there's a way out. The only option is to wait for the right chance to turn the tables and see a weak point in the Sergeant's plans -- and hopefully not see any murders.

The townspeople's attitude towards the tourists soured even more. The destruction of the church was much worse than anything they had seen so far, and they ran out of patience. People who in the past were nice and wanted nothing more than to make the tourists happy now aren't afraid of saying to their faces what's what. Random pedestrians shout at the visitors, telling them to stop being criminals. Although there are a few who have more patience than the rest, general opinion is clear:

The tourists are nuisances, to say the least.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

[cartesio]

And for what, Keith?

[He's already defensive because you don't have the best fame, buddy. He's thinking he's going to be dragged away and punched with that smelly armor of yours]

[marmoron]

[There's a lot of sass he's holding back on right now. Hope you appreciate it, bucko.]

Are you the one who handles writing the obituaries?

[And let's face it. It's Keet. That fear of his is literally not off the table.]

[cartesio]

Yes. Yes I am. I handle pretty much everything in the newspaper.

[marmoron]

And you don't think there's a real problem in how you've been covering stories in town?

[cartesio]

What kind of problems does my newspaper have?

[ Oh, he seems a little offended! ]

[marmoron]

You only care about one side. It's pretty obvious.

[JUST LIKE NANETTE, TBH. Keith's actually not even trying to antagonize here, just still has that dagger in his hand, talking in a pretty matter-of-fact tone.]

How are you even getting all your stories? For someone who does investigative journalism, I gotta say you're pretty hard to find at any kind of scene.

[cartesio]

I do my job like anyone else does. It's not a crime to be a private person. It is one to destroy town property...or to break into buildings that don't belong to you.

[ Pointed, that. ]

What reason does anyone have to listen to known criminals?

[robitussin]

[But before he can respond to that question, Natalie's just going to slide his way and put a hand on his shoulder, attempting to tug him back before he can respond.]

I'm sorry, sir. I know it's not my apology to give, but my friend here hasn't been feeling too well lately. The two of us won't bother you any more.

[And then she's giving Keith himself a pointed glance.]

You should rest. We should probably go.

[cartesio]

You should see to it that he gets some, in that case.

[ Keith's good opinion just keeps plummeting, in the eyes of Cartesio. ]

[marmoron]

[Keith has his mouth open to argue right back because oh boy he has WORDS, but then there's a hand on his shoulder and he turns to look at Natalie.

Right.

He knows they're trying not to antagonize the people in town because the Sarge wants that for some reason. Looking at the big picture, arguing with this asshole of a reporter is not helping their cause. But not arguing with him isn't helping Cosmo's cause, and --

Keith's hands tighten around the dagger, glaring hard at Robert for a few seconds.]

Guess I'm just not a person at all, huh?

[He'll finally put the dagger away and turn to leave with Natalie.]
