Fourth Week

A second murder shook the town of Cartesio. Clarisse's ambush plan ended with Katsuki Bakugou's death. Now what?

Nothing to be done other than continuing their life and watch what happens. After two weeks, after the deaths they have seen, it's hard to think there's a way out. The only option is to wait for the right chance to turn the tables and see a weak point in the Sergeant's plans -- and hopefully not see any murders.

The townspeople's attitude towards the tourists soured even more. The destruction of the church was much worse than anything they had seen so far, and they ran out of patience. People who in the past were nice and wanted nothing more than to make the tourists happy now aren't afraid of saying to their faces what's what. Random pedestrians shout at the visitors, telling them to stop being criminals. Although there are a few who have more patience than the rest, general opinion is clear:

The tourists are nuisances, to say the least.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

Of course he did.

[Just his luck!!]

What was he like?

Very suspicious of us.

[ No shit. ]

He brought pizza because he said people talk better when they have something to eat. He was civil and seemed like he'd be a nice person if he wasn't mad at you... but he was pretty mad at us. Didn't believe it when we tried to be nice and didn't believe us about the Sergeant either, of course.

[Jughead inhales.]

What...did you guys do?

[Because, knowing this group, they probably did something.]

There wasn't exactly a unified attempt to do anything... which might have been part of the problem.

Kino-kun tried telling the truth, Natalie-chan, Sakura-chan and I tried being nice, Keith-kun was being confrontational until Natalie-chan got him to stop, Millium-chan... faked a crying breakdown to divert attention from her execution.

Uh... It didn't go very well over-all.

[Jughead pinches the bridge of his bridge for what feels like a really, really long moment.]

Of course it didn’t.

[A sigh.]

How does this stuff keep happening with you guys?

None of us were exactly educated in 'how to handle being kidnapped into a town where you get forced to murder one another' to be quite fair.

This seems like the sort of thing that is hard to pick up on the fly.

...Okay, I'll let you have that one.

[Not like Jughead's the best at giving off the best image, anyway, but at least everyone seems to outshine him on that here.

Still, he's annoyed.]
