Week 4: April 22nd - April 26th

Fourth Week
A second murder shook the town of Cartesio. Clarisse's ambush plan ended with Katsuki Bakugou's death. Now what?

Nothing to be done other than continuing their life and watch what happens. After two weeks, after the deaths they have seen, it's hard to think there's a way out. The only option is to wait for the right chance to turn the tables and see a weak point in the Sergeant's plans -- and hopefully not see any murders.

The townspeople's attitude towards the tourists soured even more. The destruction of the church was much worse than anything they had seen so far, and they ran out of patience. People who in the past were nice and wanted nothing more than to make the tourists happy now aren't afraid of saying to their faces what's what. Random pedestrians shout at the visitors, telling them to stop being criminals. Although there are a few who have more patience than the rest, general opinion is clear:

The tourists are nuisances, to say the least.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

[Once she's close, Keith leans forward in his chair to face her. His expression's seriou, but not severe or harsh.]

Do you remember what I told you about Shiro? [There's a beat; Keith doesn't wait for an answer.] After an intense battle, he disappeared on us. We didn't know where he went. He returned a little while later and we all thought that was the end of that mystery, but... it turns out the person that returned was a clone that was sent to spy on us. The real Shiro? He...he died.

[His tone is steady throughout this explanation. That last part is really the first place there's any kind of catch. It's still difficult to really acknowledge that's what happened. Truthfully he's still not done being mad at himself for not realizing anything was wrong with his brother.]

But we found a way to bring him back. We saved him. And look, I don't believe in miracles either -- we didn't bring Shiro back by wishing on a star or any of that. We made it happen. I'm not going to say that it's going to be easy to make that happen here, but you're going to show Katsuki what Lammy looks like. And i'm going to punch Nine.

Got that?

[Millium remains quiet as he speaks, worrying her lip a little.

She wants to believe in this. She really does. But it's so, so hard when all she can think is even witches' magic couldn't save him.

...Keith doesn't need to know that. So, instead, she just offers a tiny smile, and says:]

...Do I get to punch Nine, too?
marmoron: by request of the icon creator, pls do not take (teeny fraction of not hate)

[Being able to bring people back from the dead is not the easiest thing to believe in -- Keith knows that. He wouldn't have believed it fully if he hadn't literally been there, doing whatever was in his power to save Shiro. He doesn't know if he's really convinced Milium with all this, but some things are easier to convey with actions than words anyway.

He smiles back.

Yeah. We can take turns.

...Ahaha.

All right, you have me sold. [At least, on this idea. The whole bringing people back from the dead thing, maybe not so much.] He definitely has it comin' after all he's pulled.
