Fourth Week

A second murder shook the town of Cartesio. Clarisse's ambush plan ended with Katsuki Bakugou's death. Now what?

Nothing to be done other than continuing their life and watch what happens. After two weeks, after the deaths they have seen, it's hard to think there's a way out. The only option is to wait for the right chance to turn the tables and see a weak point in the Sergeant's plans -- and hopefully not see any murders.

The townspeople's attitude towards the tourists soured even more. The destruction of the church was much worse than anything they had seen so far, and they ran out of patience. People who in the past were nice and wanted nothing more than to make the tourists happy now aren't afraid of saying to their faces what's what. Random pedestrians shout at the visitors, telling them to stop being criminals. Although there are a few who have more patience than the rest, general opinion is clear:

The tourists are nuisances, to say the least.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

And Yale is... a good, non-disease school?

All schools are pretty non-diseased. [...] Except community colleges.

[natalie no]

But yeah, it's... Basically, there are a group of eight colleges that get referred to as Ivy League, and they're basically the best education you can get out of the thousands in the country I live in. Yale is one of them.

[doublelammy]

Okay. Community colleges have the plague for some reason. Got it.

[Natalie look what you've done]

Okay. I guess that makes sense... I don't actually like, have to care enough about my education to really get it, but I guess I can get where you're coming from. Only makes sense to want the best you can get.

...

What's the goal after, though?

[robitussin]

Not quite.

[She says without, once again, clarifying. Still, that question... She pauses for a moment, looking back down at the piano keys.]

I don't know, but... Reaching that goal is going to give me enough time to figure that out, and it's going to put me in a much better place to do it.

[Thanks, Natalie. Helpful.

Still, Millium looks thoughtful at that. It's not the best way to look at things, perhaps, but... well, from what she knows, it's worked out okay for Rean, so why not Natalie? She's even more driven than he ever was, at least scholastically.]

...All right, that makes sense. From what I understood, even though I came in pretty late, that's kinda why Rean went to Thors, too.

So... I hope it works out for you like it did for him.

[robitussin]

[For a moment, it looks as though there's something else she wants to say, but instead she just nods.]

I'm sure it will. Thanks.

Nothin' to thank me for, I don't think. But you're welcome.

[She shuffles herself around so that she's sitting cross-legged.]

If you wanna keep playing, I won't bug you. If you don't mind me stayin'. I can go, too.

[She shakes her head.]

You can stay if you want to. I don't mind.
