Fifth Week

Everything's getting worse. Rose Nylund and Frasier Crane murdered Jughead Jones during the event Jughead worked so hard to organize. Given some of the townspeople were in attendance, it didn't give a good impression -- if the visitors did this when trying to be good people and get along with Cartesio, then how will they behave once they get into destroying everything? The cruel method of Jughead's death also left everyone quite horrified, too.

That may be why it's no surprise the town's quiet unrest is slowly turning into real, tangible fury.

During the week, from time to time stones break some of the windows of the motel, looking outside shows a random passerby running away. Graffiti is left on the walls: 'SEE IF YOU LIKE THIS' 'MURDERERS' 'YOU'RE GOING TO DESTROY US ALL', and other similar messages. Some of the store owners hesitate when the visitors approach, but they don't refuse service because money is always nice.

The Sergeant's pervasive influence is starting to cover not only you, but also the entire town of Cartesio. After all, everything that's happening to you and the motel? It's the result of what you and the other visitors have done.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

[ Long! With your eyes starting to adjust, get close enough to it and you can probably see what it is. ]

[ It's definitely a table. Looks like there's some booth-like seats on either side. ]

bolin's going to work his way to the closest seat and try and take a closer look at that ]

[Sure, have a pack of gum. A solitary, sad pack of gum, the only thing in this purse. Kind of underwhelming.

But hey, you have an item now. Into your imaginary inventory it goes!]

Olympia wants to say something, but this is honestly the most progress she's seen this evening.]

Does this look like the diner?]

[ You can't tell. It's too dark, too foggy, and the fan's presence is a little...distracting, considering the diner doesn't have any of those. ]

[If she moves towards the noise of one of the fans, can she find anything?]

[ It's hard to tell where the fan is coming from. It seems to be kind of all around you. ]

[Anything else on the tables that hasn't been found yet?]

[Oh? Looks like there's something! It's a plastic bottle of...something. Hm. Too dark to tell unless you look closely at the label]

[PEEEEEERING AT THAT and sidling closer to our light people for a better look.]

[If Hawks tried to fly, will he have better luck finding a fan or will he just knock on the ceiling?]

[Soar high, Hawks! But not too high, because there sure is a ceiling here.

No fan, but...there seems to be something here, embedded into the ceiling. Someone should direct a light over here]

Hey hotshot, some light? [gonna pluck and then wave a feather at Dabi to be lit up as a portable light. RIP feather, but at least there’s some light here for a minute or two?]
