WEEK 0 — ARRIVAL
Week 0: Arrival
When you wake up you immediately feel something’s off. You sit on the bed and find it’s not your bed, and this isn’t your room either. You seem to be in a rather normal-looking motel room. To your side there’s a trunk, if you open it you’ll find a military uniform, the key to your room, a set of rules and a debit card. Don’t lose those items! Or do lose the rules, you'll find a brand new copy the next day under your pillow. There’s also a calendar on the wall, you can see today’s date. The year is unreadable, but the month and day are very clear:
March 28th
There it says ‘Meet the Sergeant at the Lodge, 9:00 AM’. There’s also a circle around March 31st, with the word ‘END’ scrawled there.
For now leaving your motel room would be a good choice. When you reach the lobby, you see the receptionist’s desk— no one’s manning it. There’s a rack filled with maps, marking several locations in the town.
There are also many strangers here – and you’re one more. For now it may be a good idea to take a map and explore the town.
After all, looks like you’re stuck here in the boonies for a while.

Kind of weird that someone her age knows what she's doing as well as she seems to. ]
The 1911 model should be sufficient, I think.
[ She's talking to herself, granted, but there's nothing saying you can't reply.
Beyond that, you can bump into her just about anywhere throughout the day, studying her surroundings, trying to evaluate the situation as thoroughly as possible. More importantly, she's studying all her fellow captives, silently assessing each one from a distance. If you don't know she's a detective, it might seem like you're being stalked. ]

Your tactic could use a little work.
no subject
I believe that depends. What do you suppose my tactic was?
[ It's not like she was trying to stay hidden, after all. I thought I noted as much in the toplevel, but whoops, I'm an idiot. ]
Weapons - He's going to thing Naoto's a boy unless she tells him
You seen anything in there that looks old and has some wear? Or whatever you had before they nabbed you?
Well, that's just canon, mang
Not the exact model, but it was a fairly common revolver, so it wouldn't be terribly out of place. As for used weapons, I imagine they'd be cleaned before reselling them, wouldn't they?

I picked my gun up 'bout a year ago. Its that old that the grip was worn down, had a good weigh though.
Might as well get something new with how long I've been looking.
around
[She can't help but sense like someone's following her and when she turns around, she can't help but blink a little bit, canting her head in confusion.]
Um... hello?
no subject
Hello. Please, don't mind me.
[ Pleasantries out of the way, she mumbles something and writes something down in her notepad. ]
no subject
What are you doing? [They do say curiosity killed the cat.]
weapons shop, aka who let millium in here oh dear lord
Oooh, that thing looks neat. Why stop at "sufficient," though? That's so boring! The bigger, the better!
no subject
[ Said completely matter-of-factly, like this is something the muppet should fucking know. ]
no subject
[The muppet knows. She just does not care.
Please don't let there be a cannon in this weapons shop. Why there would be is a mystery, but just. Please no.]
her face is going to freeze like this
[ In the meantime, she'll continue to go back and forth between the M1911 semi-auto and the Cobra revolver. Perhaps she'll take both and alternate as is situationally appropriate. Either way, Millium is clearly occupying a minority of her attention. ]
"i asked for this," said no one ever
[Meanwhile, in Erebonia, a certain class vice president feels the need to scream more than usual, and isn't sure why.]

In any other scenario, Rean might shrug it off and carry on with his own business: namely investigating the area and trying to keep Millium and Princess Alfin out of harms way... and trouble. It wasn't an uncommon occurrence back home, anyway. Oftentimes he'd find himself being stared at a lot by onlookers who recognized him. Some would be admiring, others would be of sheer contempt.
But here, it clearly wasn't a case of recognition. Almost everyone here were strangers to one another, and it's more than a little unsettling given this place's "catch". For now, he allows the onlooker's presence to remain as he's quietly reading a pamphlet. One thing was pretty clear: this felt more like he was being sized up. ]
Something I can help you with?
[ He'll say suddenly and rather nonchalantly as he returns the pamphlet. ]
no subject
Nothing at the moment. Please, pretend I'm not here.
[ The response is delivered with almost equal nonchalance, and she'll make a mental note that this is a relatively perceptive one. ]
