Killers and victims, killers and victims. Three of your own have fallen prey to murderous intent last week. Your numbers keep shrinking. Azura has fallen prey to Franciscus in the same night that Olympia betrayed her friend Millium and killed Cian who wound up in the crossfire. At this rate, is there anyone you can trust?
The townspeople's anger burns hotter than ever. Wherever they go, must they live in fear of stumbling on a corpse? They can't live like this. More than ever, the visitors are being shown that they are
unwelcome.
Walking outdoors, cold looks are the norm. Shouted profanity isn't unexpected. Barely anybody is willing to still hold a conversation with any visitors.
Even within the motel, there is no feeling of safety any longer. Not only have two people died in this very place, no, now the townspeople also lost their fear of coming inside. While they don't enter private rooms, the daring among them vent their hatred of you by vandalizing the common rooms.
Cartesio has become a menacing place.
In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and
the maps have been updated once again. Don't mind that some of them have been damaged in one of the attacks on the motel.

...Well, let's try anyway. I don't really like the idea of trying to shove it through the window in one piece, either.

[IT'LL BE FINE. Just giving the wooden chest another look. Surely they can just smash that thing open bypass the need for a key... if they absolutely have to get it open for some reason....]

Picking up clothing along the way is easy enough. The chest is even draped over! Everyone's trying their best to be stealthy.
As stealthy as you can be, since this is a group of people carrying a chest across town at midnight.
But, surprisingly, everyone arrives to the mausoleum with no problems at all. In fact, they'll find the door wide open. Once they enter into the egg tomb, they'll find a big key on top of the coffin -- the key to the chest.
The body isn't going to put itself into the coffin, you know!]

[Let's take the key. Since that's not reckless at all. And see if we can open it up.
...good lord help them.]

[She says, entirely too late.]
...Cool.

Someone's opening the chest from inside.
Davis Williams sits up, moving groggily. He's confused, disoriented, bliking blearily at everybody.
And, behind him, pinned to the lid of the box, is another note:
'This is the deal:
Keep Davis Williams in this graveyard until 6:00 AM. If you do, I will personally ensure you can never be arrested. All proof will disappear, and you'll be free. Everyone will be powerless.
If Davis Williams sets even a foot out of the graveyard, you all will have the rest of your lives to think about what you did wrong, once you're jailed.'
Surprise!]
