Killers and victims, killers and victims. Three of your own have fallen prey to murderous intent last week. Your numbers keep shrinking. Azura has fallen prey to Franciscus in the same night that Olympia betrayed her friend Millium and killed Cian who wound up in the crossfire. At this rate, is there anyone you can trust?
The townspeople's anger burns hotter than ever. Wherever they go, must they live in fear of stumbling on a corpse? They can't live like this. More than ever, the visitors are being shown that they are
unwelcome.
Walking outdoors, cold looks are the norm. Shouted profanity isn't unexpected. Barely anybody is willing to still hold a conversation with any visitors.
Even within the motel, there is no feeling of safety any longer. Not only have two people died in this very place, no, now the townspeople also lost their fear of coming inside. While they don't enter private rooms, the daring among them vent their hatred of you by vandalizing the common rooms.
Cartesio has become a menacing place.
In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and
the maps have been updated once again. Don't mind that some of them have been damaged in one of the attacks on the motel.

Maybe this will at least get her to relax, just a little.
If she does something that's familiar for her. Removing the key from her neck, she chants the familiar spell: ]
Key that hides the forces of dreams! Show me your true power...
[ And the moment she says those words, a large magic circle appears underneath her feet. ]
Release!
[ The small key then turns into a larger staff, which she magnificently twirls around in her hands before it settles. Taking out one of her cards from her pockets, she hums to herself, glancing around curiously to see if there's anyone around. ]
I wonder if it'll work... [...] No, it has to.
[ Or at least, she hopes so. She takes out one of the cards out of her pocket, and readying herself to use it, the magic circle once again appears under her, tossing the card out to float in mid-air as she calls out the card name: ]
Flight!
[ And a ribbon seems to appear, floating in mid-air as it attaches itself behind Sakura, fluttering excitedly before it seems to zoom her all the way up in the sky.
Which causes more surprised noises. But what surprises her even more than that is that after she's in the air for five minutes, Flight disappears.
Uh.
Someone might want to catch her because she is falling with a loud: ]
Hoeeeeeee—!!

he needs to stop telling people how he actually feels. because it seems like everyone he opens up to has died. Natalie and Sakura are at least still around...
speaking of Sakura, isn't that her flying overhead? he looks surprised, gawking like the idiot he is]
S-Sakura... chan...
[she's doing it, she's getting free! free of this place...!
ah, wait, no. she's actually falling! Osomatsu moves to catch her, running as fast as his legs can carry him, holding out his arms]
Sakura-chan!

Sorry...

[ She hesitates a little, bringing her staff close to her chest. Sakura seems to be uninjured, at least. ]
Flight-san was the card I was using...!

Ah. [he remembers when he showed her that other card, Record] Did it... go somewhere?

So the card let you fly... for a little while... but now it's gone. I wonder if Sarge has it.

[ She does look rather distraught, not going to lie. ]

Sakura-chan, how many cards are there? [how many does she have?]

I see. [he's thinking. usually the cards don't just disappear like that. it really sounds like the Sergeant has something to do with this] Well, maybe try not to use anymore of your cards for the time being. It feels, to me, like whatever powers you have are limited while we're here.

[ and there might not be hundreds now but, uh
powers: being able to create her own magic into cards
is a thing ]

...What if you lose them for good if you use them here?
no subject
Everything will surely be alright. I'm certain that... even if they disappear, it won't be for good.

I guess... you'd know more about your own cards than me. If you feel that they'll come back to you, then use them to help people. [...] Though, I dunno if I'd try flying again.

...Oh shit, not anymore. Kino thinks fast, darting to try to catch her - though they're both likely to end up crashing on the ground due to size. Ouch.]

It is not what she intended. ]

You... okay?
no subject
[ She does have to get off and make sure that she's up on her feet, still gripping onto her staff tight. ]
I should be?
no subject
Kino just lays back heavily again.]
That's good.
[Owwwwww.]
