Week 6: May 6th - 10th

Sixth Week

Killers and victims, killers and victims. Three of your own have fallen prey to murderous intent last week. Your numbers keep shrinking. Azura has fallen prey to Franciscus in the same night that Olympia betrayed her friend Millium and killed Cian who wound up in the crossfire. At this rate, is there anyone you can trust?

The townspeople's anger burns hotter than ever. Wherever they go, must they live in fear of stumbling on a corpse? They can't live like this. More than ever, the visitors are being shown that they are unwelcome.

Walking outdoors, cold looks are the norm. Shouted profanity isn't unexpected. Barely anybody is willing to still hold a conversation with any visitors.

Even within the motel, there is no feeling of safety any longer. Not only have two people died in this very place, no, now the townspeople also lost their fear of coming inside. While they don't enter private rooms, the daring among them vent their hatred of you by vandalizing the common rooms.

Cartesio has become a menacing place.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again. Don't mind that some of them have been damaged in one of the attacks on the motel.

[She looks up from whatever she was reading, raising a hand.]

[ The library is peaceful. Nobody is making any noise disturbance. There is just one library-appropriately quiet oddity: the two microfiche readers are turned on despite nobody using them. ]

[robitussin]

[...Interesting.

Time to head over that way and give them a glance!]

[cartesio]

[ Both of them show a page with three articles zoomed into the beginning of the first one. ]

[robitussin]

[Once she notices where it's zoomed into... She shifts it just a little to see if there's anyone around to move it back.]

[cartesio]

[ As a matter of fact, there is movement! It doesn't go back to where it was but instead zooms on the word here in the third article. ]

[quickpersuader]

[Noticing Natalie's reaction, she goes over to peer at it as well. And then, quietly:]

Is it them?

[robitussin]

...Yeah.

[Which is why she’s going to run to the door and yell out, as loud as she can:]

Guys, they’re talking to us again!

[...Sorry, anyone else in the library.]

[clearities]

You shouldn't yell...

[In the meantime, can Kino zoom in on "hi" from "something" in the first article?]

[ There's a very angry "SHHHH" from somewhere behind a bookshelf at that.

And then a quieter 'shh' directed at the first one as one towns-person is trying to calm down their avid reader friend. No starting fights with the outsiders, even if there's a... truce... thing... going on! ]

[She doesn’t fazed by that, instead going back to the device and zooming in on the following sentence:

I couldn’t have hoped for a better turnout.]

[And this is apparently why you don't leave the library to go walk your wolf because you miss all the things.]

What're they saying?

[She gestures towards the microfiche so he can see for himself.]

Not much yet.

[he's walking by the library, probably on his way to get some dinner, when he hears Natalie. Osomatsu cants his head and wanders over to the library.

...he obviously has not been here before, but it seems like it's a happening place tonight]

Who's doing what now?

Ghosts!

[Which is all the explanation he gets before she's heading back to the microfiche.]

...well isn't this curious.

[This library is just full of resources. Well! Let's give the other a look see.]

[cartesio]

[ It's displaying the same articles, except... this one's screen zoom is moving over the page in the same zoom format as if someone else is reading.

Of course, there is nobody here. ]

[...ah. Ghost reader.]

Sharing, are we? Well that's fine as long as you don't take too long.

[ Well, when the reading on the other end finished, does Dazai want to play with the zoom and focus himself? ]

[...yeah let's play word games.

He zooms in on the phrase "I’ll take this as a good sign." on the second article.]

[ He'll get back the letters hi in full focus. They're from the word 'machine'. ]

[Dazai closes up on the "wh" in "When they do" and then the "o". Gotta get creative.]

[ He gets the mil from family and the word here again! ]
