Peace Week

Sunday must have been exhausting for you, maybe even upsetting. A new town, new faces and a an ominous order from a man without a face... who wouldn't be a little frightened? Hopefully, all of that is forgotten when you climb out from under your blankets this fine Monday. Rise and shine! A new morning is a new start!

If you make your way to the lounge, you will find a few copies of the local newspaper provided for your perusal. Once you go outdoors, you'll find the weather forecast 100% accurate. It's pretty impressive.

It seems that quiet mornings like this are going to be your everyday life now. Maybe you should see this whole stay as a vacation? Go out and explore the town, meet your fellow motel guests and meet the townspeople. They're sure to welcome you with a smile!

This week's special in the diner is lemon pie made with love (and a top-secret recipe)

["Heroes," huh? Wasn't someone talking about "villains" a few days ago? Hmm.

She just looks intrigued, though.]

Destroying heroes. Why?

Cause they're the foundation of a worthless society.

[ Last time he answered this question he got way too into it for his own good, so let's try the abridged version instead. ]

...What's so worthless about it?

I dunno. I think they're pretty cool.

[Although they're more things in a story book than anything else, but...]

[ Whether he had planned to answer or not, he's definately not inclined to now given her opinion. ]

I'm sure Hawks will be preening when he hears it.

[Hawks?

Millium hasn't met him, and she doesn't really have the guestbook memorized yet. She has absolutely no idea who that is.]

Huh? Oh, do you have an attack birdy, too? Err... attack birdies, since it's hawks...?

[In the absence of having any idea what Dabi is talking about, Millium is trying to make sense of it by comparing it to what she knows. Gaius has a hawk familiar, maybe this guy does, too?

[ Oh.

There's a long pause and then he just. Let's out a heavy exhale, mouth splitting into an uncomfortably wide grin. The staples pull on his skin, but he either doesn't notice or doesn't care. The low rumble from his throat is all wrong too, but it almost sounds amused? It might pass as laughter in his case. ]

[amburere]

[ But the moment passes, and his grin relaxes into an amused yet less unsettling smirk. ]

You might actually bruise his ego if he heard that. [ But now that Dabi's in a good mood apparently, he doesn't mind explaining. ] He's the number two hero, got wings and all to go with it. Keep an eye on the sky, I'm sure he'll be out all day joyriding.

[doublelammy]

[Huh. That sure is spooky.

Whatever.]

Oh, Hawks is just one attack birdy? I was right the first time? [She may still have not caught on to the fact that Hawks is a person.

Squawk away, Hawks, there's no saving you now.]

...Hey.

You, and that other guy I ran into... you guys keep talking about heroes and villains and stuff like all that is. Real?

You guys do know that stuff's only real in books n' stuff, right?

[When the little girl with a robot friend from the giant robot JRPG is telling you your world sounds fake...]

Sure. [ That's an answer, definitely.

As for the rest, he just rolls his shoulders. What with the meeting and everything Cian's told him so far he knows that his world is pretty different from what counts as normal here.]

That's what I hear. [ So acknowglement but he's not gonna fight her on it. ] Bakugou? Loud idiotic brat who almost got himself killed by the Sergeant at the meeting.

[doublelammy]

Neat!

[She's honestly going to be a little disappointed when she finds out the truth.

As for him shrugging it off...]

...Well, whatever! I guess my place is pretty weird, too. Actually, come to think of it, I know a guy with powers kinda like yours. [She taps her lips in thought.] Not blue, though.

...Yeah!! That guy!! [She perks up at the mention of Bakugou.] I fell out of a tree on him and he screamed a lot!!

[Rest in pieces, Bakugou, Millium's destroying your reputation and you aren't even here to stop her.]

[ Talking about how Bakugou is a dumbass is so much more fun than hero, villain and power discussion. Fire quirks are also pretty common in his world too, so it doesn't surprise Dabi to hear that she knows someone with similar powers. ]

Let me guess—he said he was going to kill you?

[doublelammy]

Right-o! And asked if I was "always that much of a pain in the ass" when I still wouldn't get off of him even when he kept flailing around.

[She's grinning. She needs to find more excuses to fall on Bakugou, she thinks.]

Is he always like that?

[amburere]

[ Dabi's grinning now too, even if his grin is a whole lot less friendly. ]

Yeah. Brat never thinks anything through and thinks he can fight his way out of any situation. Kinda surprised he hasn't self-destructed yet even with a Hero watching out for him.

[doublelammy]

[That smile should probably be at least mildly disconcerting. But then again, this is Millium Orion, who cheerfully refers to the Obvious Villain of her own series as Gramps, so.]

He's fun. I like him.

I don't think he likes me, but that's okay. That kinda makes it more fun, I think.

[amburere]

[ Your taste, Millium. ]

Lucky you, he could always use another babysitter.

[What about this girl ISN'T questionable?]

Hehe. Never thought I'd be one o' those! [Smiiiile.] Mission accepted~!

[Dabi what have you DONE]

[ Y'know, he doesn't really like most of what you've said so far Millum, but this he can get behind. Have an overly satisfied grin back, this is fine. ]

Tell me how it goes. [ A beat. ] Wouldn't mention that I'm the one who told you this either, he wants to kill me too.

Aww, c'mon. Wouldn't that be even more fun? If he's as useless with you as he was with me, then he's just gonna get even madder, and that's gonna be hilarious.

[World's worst babysitter, coming right up!]

[amburere]

More useless. [ Their powers may be somewhat similar, but Dabi tends to keep more of his head during fights. ]

Might ruin it though. Would be more fun to rub it in his face later.

...Oooh. You have a point, there.

Okay! It's a secret!

[That means absolutely nothing coming from her.]

Good. Keep me updated. [ He doesn't really care whether she is true to her word or not, he's just here for the lulz. ]
