Sunday must have been exhausting for you, maybe even upsetting. A new town, new faces and a an ominous order from a man without a face... who wouldn't be a little frightened? Hopefully, all of that is forgotten when you climb out from under your blankets this fine Monday. Rise and shine! A new morning is a new start!
If you make your way to the lounge, you will find a few copies of the local newspaper provided for your perusal. Once you go outdoors, you'll find the weather forecast 100% accurate. It's pretty impressive.
It seems that quiet mornings like this are going to be your everyday life now. Maybe you should see this whole stay as a vacation? Go out and explore the town, meet your fellow motel guests and meet the townspeople. They're sure to welcome you with a smile!
This week's special in the diner is lemon pie made with love (and a top-secret recipe)

THURSDAY - APRIL 5th
NEWSPAPER
The most recent rumor in town is, once again, about the tourists. An agent who refused to reveal their name remarked a man in an armor had snuck into the police station, for reasons the police force won't divulge. Whether they will take action based on this rumor or not is unclear, but if it's true, then we must ask ourselves: why did they do such a thing?
Nanette Johnson, hardworking agent, announced to this reporter the police force is considering the possibility of monitoring the tourists. Other agents refuted Johnson's comments, saying they lacked evidence and reasons to do such a thing. For the time being, all we can do is hope this incident won't repeat again.
-------
The hunting shop is back in business! And also, tonight you'll find a box filled with sweaters, for everyone in the motel. 'Enjoy', says a card with it. On the back says '---the Sergeant'. How nice of him, huh?

sweaters!
Millium plucks the one off the top and puts it on, not even bothering to look at sizes.
She's just about swimming in it, but she's as happy as can be when she toddles off. Hope these were one size fits all, or someone just got the short stick. ...Short sweater.]

[As it's been for a few days now, Kino rises with the sun, takes some time to prepare to greet the day, and then goes about getting a quick breakfast before venturing out. This time, the traveler makes a leisurely journey to the weapons shop, stepping inside upon spotting that there's stock again.
Just how well-stocked is the shop?]
[Late morning - Park]
[In the time before lunch, Kino settles down in the park, back rested up against a tree. Dark brown eyes stare in the direction of the abandoned building and, inevitably, the lodge. There's no sweaters here - the black, long-sleeved jacket, gloves, and hat are sufficient for warding off the most of the chill.
Though not so much that Kino's oblivious to others. At the first sound of anyone approaching, no matter the direction, Kino will turn to them with a faint smile.]

y'all saw nothin'
[ In the early morning, there's singing coming from the park. Azura's standing at the edge of the pond, feet dipping in despite the morning chill.
Her song starts out wistful and slow, but her voice is strong and carries well even alone. ]
Within this calmness, but a single waterdrop falls
And spreads and ripples to the bottom of the well
The freezing gale that rocks the forest of my heart
If only we could coexist like that
Everyone could listen to the forest's quiet voice
And shed tears at its sound
[ When the song picks up, Azura begins to dance rhythmically, feet splashing in the shallow water. Given that it seems to be a song about respecting nature, she's paying her respects to...the water? Probably.
If you want to interrupt her in the middle, she can't guarantee you won't get a hand flying in your face. Her dances have a lot of twirling. Or, if you're feeling politer and approach her once she's done belting out folk songs at 7AM, Azura will turn to her audience and look sheepish. ]
...my apologies, did you need to use the lake? I can get out of your way, now.
2 - hunting shop
[ Later on, Azura's at the archery range outside the hunting shop, having acquired a practice bow. She tries firing off a few arrows, and her hand is steady at first, but grows shaky. She puts the bow down quickly enough, rubbing her palm. ]
I suppose this is why my bow training didn't go much anywhere back home, either. I don't know how she does it...

[ Of course Sakura's not going to interrupt mid-song, she's not that mean. ]
I just thought that you had a really pretty voice! It kind of reminded me of my friend's.

[Hey, guess which friendly local knife shop is back open?
Millium is poking around the aisles, looking fairly lost.
She seems to specifically be looking at supplies that work with metal – reading the package descriptions of things that might remove rust, as well as things she could potentially use to connect metal objects together.]
...Man. Why do there gotta be so many things...
[afternoon/early evening, closed to nine to start with]
[It occurs to Millium that she and one of her new friends forgot something very important on Monday after getting wholly distracted by the prospect of pie (which Millium has been basically living on all week, thanks).
She goes dashing down the hall to Room 15 and bangs on the door.]

...no one's going to police you, though. if you want to draw something inappropriate and ruin a little girl's art, that's up to you. Osomatsu might come by and draw over it later.
right now, though, he's in the lobby reading the guestbook. or, is it the replacement guestbook? who knows. he just didn't get to read it the first time, so he's looking over it, mostly focused on the people he's met already.
when he comes to his own page, he takes a pen and furiously scribbles over his own dislikes until you can't read them anymore. he's certain that, by now, most people have read about him, but he'll still try to protect himself.
and on the bottom few lines, he scribbles something else. (NSFW)

[ oda's an early riser by nature, and he's basically up and leaving the motel with the sunrise. he's not really looking around for anything specific...he just wants to clear his mind.
and that's how he ends up finding himself sitting on a park bench, with a...good deal of pigeons by him. yes, he's feeding pigeons with bread crumbs. between the fingers of his other hand, though, is a lit cigarette, which he occasionally takes a drag of. it's more than obvious that he's deep in thought-- wanna bother him? ]
early evening, tavern (npc but also open to pcs)
[ in the evening, though, oda will be headed to the tavern to...maybe reminiscence the simpler times.
while he's alone he'll probably try to get some information out of the barkeeper, but if he sees anyone from the motel, he'll nod in a greeting. ]

Come on in, the water's fine! It's a lovely morning for swimming!
[Well, anyway, after he's done with that, he's going to head back to the motel and sit down in the lounge with a cup of coffee that he's absently adding far too many sugar cubes to as he reads the morning paper.]
Well, I hope it's not too cold around the pond tomorrow, at the very least. That would be unfortunate!
[NPC interaction, but open to any PCs who wants to hit up the police station!]
[Well, like, he is a cop, so he's going to head to the precinct to chat everyone up! Why not? He might as well, hahaha! He does spend just a little too long looking at that electric chair, though...]
Seems a bit odd to have it right in the station, honestly. Don't they save that for the state penitentiary?

[Keith is more or less minding his own business as he's walking through town. After the newspaper (correctly) pointed fingers at a dude wearing armor being responsible for a break in at the police station, he'd ditch the armor if he could, but then he'd be walking around only half decent because he's not wearing that military outfit. So armor and earning strange looks it is.
He's having a grand time. Really. He'd be doing a whole lot more glaring if he wasn't so tired. But you know what gets him to perk right back up? The hunting store being re-open for business, looking fully stocked. He's not going to throw a fit about this -- he's just not. But he will be curling his hand into a fist and bang it against the side of the building. He mutters under his breath.]
Damn.
[Alternatively, find him a little later at the shooting range on the premises where he is regrouping and taking out some of his frustrations with this whole situation with two semi automatic revolvers. Judging by how thoroughly peppered with holes the target is (most concentrated around the head) he's probably been at this for a while...]
Motel - early afternoon
[Anyone hanging around the motel in the early afternoon will find Keith sitting outside his motel door, head on his knees, legs drawn up to his chest. One hand is curled loosely around the handle of a knife holstered at his hip. He seems... unusually still though, breathing regular and even. It's almost like he might have fallen asleep.....]
