Sunday must have been exhausting for you, maybe even upsetting. A new town, new faces and a an ominous order from a man without a face... who wouldn't be a little frightened? Hopefully, all of that is forgotten when you climb out from under your blankets this fine Monday. Rise and shine! A new morning is a new start!
If you make your way to the lounge, you will find a few copies of the local newspaper provided for your perusal. Once you go outdoors, you'll find the weather forecast 100% accurate. It's pretty impressive.
It seems that quiet mornings like this are going to be your everyday life now. Maybe you should see this whole stay as a vacation? Go out and explore the town, meet your fellow motel guests and meet the townspeople. They're sure to welcome you with a smile!
This week's special in the diner is lemon pie made with love (and a top-secret recipe)

TUESDAY - APRIL 3rd
millium's tuesday terrors
[Millium can be found seated nearby the jukebox with a slice of lemon pie. Who knows how many she's eaten already? She certainly won't tell.
Every so often, she gets up, goes over to the jukebox, slides her card, and enters a couple of songs.
It appears she's listening through each song on the jukebox one by one. She may be here a while.]
[around town]
[Millium is dashing between buildings with a pile of... some kind of paper.
She stops at each one, pausing to dig out a roll of tape and tearing off a strip of it, rolling it quickly into a ball before slapping it on the back of one of the paper things and slapping said paper thing up against the building.
As soon as that's done, she's off to the next one.
If someone stops to look at what she's pasting up, it looks like a very poorly cut out... paper shark, with an equally poorly (and likely hastily) drawn toothy grin.]

Do you intend to make that "shark alert" actually relevant?

NEWSPAPER
The feeling of optimism we felt has proven to be accurate. The visitors have been in the town for one day, and one of them literally bought everything in our local hunting shop! Mr. Mason Sterling, the owner of the hunting shop commented this had been an once-in-a-lifetime sale, and that as a sign of gratitude, he added a few free products to the merchandise bought. This reporter's hopes is that this mysterious tourist, who is said to be called 'Keith', will continue showering Cartesio with his generosity.
Shark alert: Stopping until further notice.]
-----
[The lobby and the sidewalk outside the motel are filled with dozens of large boxes from the hunting shop, filled to the brim with all kinds of survival products, handheld guns and, ammunition. There are so many it's a bit difficult to walk through them. All of the boxes have large stickers that say 'PROPERTY OF KEITH', courtesy of the hunting shop.
The hunting shop is devoid of products until Thursday]

[You know all those boxes of stuff that's now cluttering the motel lobby and the sidewalk outside? The boxes that are addressed to some genius named "Keith" ? Yeah. He'll be busy moving all this stuff into his room and trying to make it fit inside so that nobody trips over the merchandise or whatever. He isn't complaining about it, but dang he is not having fun right now.
There are a couple of boxes stacked on top of each other that he's attempting to move inside, but it sure is box hell and he might just bump into someone while carrying an armful of... way too many guns.]
You okay?

Why are there so many knives here? I own ten knives now, but not one computer!
[ After that, she goes to the gas station to check out... well, she's sure spending a lot of time investigating the rope and the duct tape.
And then, after running twelve knives and a lot of rope and duct tape to her room, she can be found in the lobby, taking some notes. But she might be a little hard to find, since she's uh. Sitting under one of the tables as she does so. ]
NPC AND OPTIONAL PC INTERACTION
[ Later on, though, she hits up the tavern and sits around drinking literally until closing time, or at last until most everyone else is gone. Mostly she's looking to see what the clientele is like late at night - she wants to chat up any sketchy dudes or ladies or other who show up, and regrets that for once it's not in line with why she usually chats people up late at night. If there are no sketchy people, she might just chat up the bartender. ]

[ Early morning, they can find Nine sitting out on the floor watching the entrance. His arms are crossed, and there's a mop resting on the floor beside him.
He'll look over at anyone around to give a headtilt and a lift of his hand. Nothing to see here, he's just being a guard dog. ]
[ Diner (open to NPCs or PCs) ]
[ Close to lunch, he can be found in a booth seat sitting up on top of the back of the seat. He has a plate of pie in his lap. Looking over at anyone who walks by. ]
Hey- [ Yawning. And then taking another bite. ] Man, it's quiet as hell here.
[ It's weird. ]
[ Junkyard ]
[ He's back here again, probably thanks to getting lost. Rolling up his sleeves as he investigates one of the piles with the mop handle. ]
Whoa. Hey, is that a knife?

He refuses to let it take hold. Tuesday is another day, after all. So he heads out to the park even before getting breakfast. Anyone out and about this early is either very dedicated or perhaps one of the locals - and if one of the townspeople does happen to be around, he'll stop with the calisthenics and flag them down.]
Excuse me, I'm one of the... tourist group, and we weren't given a terribly detailed guide. I hate to be an inconvenience [he LIES] but I have a few questions, may I steal a moment of your time to ask them?
[Should it be one of his fellow "tourists" that he spots nearby, he's got a different question entirely.]
You're certainly out early, aren't you?
[Much later, he can be found at the tavern. He's as close to pressed into a corner as he can be, taking up more space than he knows he should at one end of the bar with a bottle of red wine, a few pencils, and some paper that was most assuredly not liberated from a closet in the motel. He's given up on using a glass, and takes a swig directly from the bottle every so often... only the barkeep knows whether this is his first tonight, unless you ask.
As to what he's working on - he appears to be drawing a group of people, filling in the sketch one at a time. The most finished is... well, it's genuinely unclear if they're a man or a woman, but they're brandishing a staff as though to warn someone away and wearing a hooded robe. There's a rangy man in thoroughly ahistorical armor standing beside them, one hand resting on their shoulder, a coiled whip held in the other. The two other figures are still barely sketched in - one is taller than the other three, with a suggestion of untidy long hair and a comical sketched-in frown where the face will eventually be. The fourth is crouched down with one arm upraised, and it looks like there'll be something held in that person's hand.
He'll set the pencil down for a moment, if someone's close enough for him to notice.]
This is hardly Montparnasse, but... any port in a storm, hm?
