Sunday must have been exhausting for you, maybe even upsetting. A new town, new faces and a an ominous order from a man without a face... who wouldn't be a little frightened? Hopefully, all of that is forgotten when you climb out from under your blankets this fine Monday. Rise and shine! A new morning is a new start!
If you make your way to the lounge, you will find a few copies of the local newspaper provided for your perusal. Once you go outdoors, you'll find the weather forecast 100% accurate. It's pretty impressive.
It seems that quiet mornings like this are going to be your everyday life now. Maybe you should see this whole stay as a vacation? Go out and explore the town, meet your fellow motel guests and meet the townspeople. They're sure to welcome you with a smile!

Seeing as these files seem less accessed, Keith willl just go ahead and borrow one of the papers -- one that looks newer, might reasonably pass for just a regular piece of paper they could get at the convenience store at a glance and folds it into his armor.
That done, he'll very carefully put everything else back the way it was before he entered the room. If there still aren't any signs of people approaching, he'll try and take a quick look to see if there's anything of note inside the dusty desk.]

Not too long after Keith left, Nanette descends back to the ground floor. A couple agents were behind her. She doesn't hesitate, she goes straight to the administrative offices. The moment one of those agents told her he had left the keys lying around, she decided to wait. Once she judged she had waited enough, they descended.
The sight of the padlocks left unlocked/left in ways she didn't remember tells her what she already suspected. She turns to the agents]
You, try taking fingerprints for evidence. You, find out everything you can about these tourists. I don't like this at all.
[Why would they be so interested in police records, even committing breaking and entering in the police station? Nanette's starting to suspect something's weird about these tourists.
