Peace Week

Sunday must have been exhausting for you, maybe even upsetting. A new town, new faces and a an ominous order from a man without a face... who wouldn't be a little frightened? Hopefully, all of that is forgotten when you climb out from under your blankets this fine Monday. Rise and shine! A new morning is a new start!

If you make your way to the lounge, you will find a few copies of the local newspaper provided for your perusal. Once you go outdoors, you'll find the weather forecast 100% accurate. It's pretty impressive.

It seems that quiet mornings like this are going to be your everyday life now. Maybe you should see this whole stay as a vacation? Go out and explore the town, meet your fellow motel guests and meet the townspeople. They're sure to welcome you with a smile!

Oh, that's a really good idea. Knives might be harder to get rid off, but I think firearms are too complicated to easily put back together.

[ She's never seen a gun before coming here, but this seems like how it should be. ]

You're very young to have experienced something like a knife fight.

Not just knife fights. [ He's going to actually look stupidly proud. ] Went up against MAs and guns before. I have to scars to prove it, if you want to see.

[ Nine, she's 11 years older than you!!

But also this goes totally over her head because there rest of the content is so much more shocking. ]

Yeah, I was. It's not going on any more.

[ The pride is still there, but there's something more serious underlining the words. Rubbing the back of his head as he waves his hand. ]

[ That makes her smile again, simply because she doesn't want him to feel like he has to cheer her up about his own fate. ]

It sounds like a very harsh experience for someone to make... it's not fair that you're here now where people might die again.

[ He offers a shrug while he leans back. ]

Been thinking of it as a detour, you know? One last mission before I can finally get some rest. [ And a beat as he looks over at the doors. ] I did say I could run a little more, yo. Didn't think I would actually be given that chance, but here I am.

... you're planning to die.

[ Said very softly, as she steps closer in order to sit down next to him. ]

[ He'll offer a lift of his shoulders. ]

I'm already dead, yo. Not sure how the hell that Sarge bastard did it. [ A beat ] Hey, do you know that little spy? Millium?

[ Already...? Oh. Cian knows that mourning someone she barely knows is pointless. There is no need to feel compassion for a person who doesn't have a connection to her. But looking at this boy, so young and so presently alive, it's impossible to not feel her heart sink a bit. He doesn't need to hear her condolences, but she just... can't help thinking it is unfair. ]

The girl with the blue hair? I've seen her around, yes.

[linearcrash]

[ He'll give a soft smile as he looks at her. Holding a single finger up over his lips. ]

Don't tell her any of this, yo. It can be our little secret.

[ The kid seems already attached, so it seems wrong for her to know he's dead. ]

I probably shouldn't be telling anyone about it actually.

[ She nods affirmatively at that. ]

It's better if she doesn't know, mhm.

[ Emotionally traumatic material and whatnot. ]

And I won't let anyone else know either. It's your story to share if you want to.

[ Rubbing the back of his head and turning his attention to the door. ]

What about you? Were you nabbed from something important?

I... I think so, yes.

[ Dying, coincidentally, but she sadly does not know how much they have this in common.. ]

Someone I thought was dead turned out to be not dead at all and then I got here. I still wonder if it is related...

[ same hat high five ]

Huh? Like it's related to death or something?

More like, it's related to that person... though I suppose death and Miach go hand in hand, so it may just be the same thing.

[linearcrash]

[ Tilts his head. ]

That will be something you'll find out later, right? When you get the hell out of here.

Or when she appears here, I wouldn't rule that out. I just kind of wish she'd hurry up with it.
