Peace Week

Sunday must have been exhausting for you, maybe even upsetting. A new town, new faces and a an ominous order from a man without a face... who wouldn't be a little frightened? Hopefully, all of that is forgotten when you climb out from under your blankets this fine Monday. Rise and shine! A new morning is a new start!

If you make your way to the lounge, you will find a few copies of the local newspaper provided for your perusal. Once you go outdoors, you'll find the weather forecast 100% accurate. It's pretty impressive.

It seems that quiet mornings like this are going to be your everyday life now. Maybe you should see this whole stay as a vacation? Go out and explore the town, meet your fellow motel guests and meet the townspeople. They're sure to welcome you with a smile!

This week's special in the diner is lemon pie made with love (and a top-secret recipe)

So, what do you think of this place? Is it anything like your own home?

[He shakes his head.] It lacks many of the accomodations I am used to. Even when traveling through less civilized areas, we could always count on having phones or some sort of electronic communication.

Oh, yeah. That's kind of the same back where I come from. Everyone has smartphones these days... Well, I don't, but my brother does!

[silvertongueheir]

It's good to know there are similarities between our worlds. Though, does that mean he is the only member of your family with a smartphone? How do you keep in touch with them, then?

[that’s a good question. Osomatsu rubs under his nose]

Well, we mostly hang out at home, or we tell each other where we’re going ahead of time. It’d be nice to know where each other is all the time, but phones cost money.

[silvertongueheir]

[A nod. He supposes that's not too strange.] You sound like a very close-knit family.

...We are, I think. We've all been living together for a long time.

[silvertongueheir]

[He nods.] I'm an only child, myself, so I have less idea about what that would be like. It does sound nice, though.

Man! I've wondered about only children! What's it like? Are you spoiled rotten?

[silvertongueheir]

[A slight chuckle.] I would prefer not to use the term "rotten," but I certainly had all the attention of my parents when they were home. And they did their best to buy the best for me. They could afford most of it easily, after all. [Yay for being rich.]

[rich people are on a whole different level, huh?]

Really? You're super lucky. We weren't... well, we weren't poor, but money was tight. Mom bought all our clothes in bulk.

[They certainly are.]

I'm sorry to hear that. Though your current outfit seems fine to me. I suppose your brothers are not here for me to compare them to you.

[hm? he looks down at his outfit, then back up, grinning]

They're not! It's just me... Ol' Sarge wasn't so kind as to bring me here with someone I knew.

[though that's probably a blessing]

[God, imagine a murdergame that allowed all six Matsunos at once.] It seems few of us have been allowed that privilege. Though at least he didn't bring one of your foes instead.

[we don't want to imagine this] ...Yeah, that's true. [does Osomatsu really have any foes? he doesn't think so] Though it might have made things more interesting.

I suppose it could be better to know they're trapped here with you and not able to bother your siblings back home.

You make it sound like there's some evil wizard that always bothers us. Sorry to say, but my world isn't that cool. The person who probably hassles us the most is Iyami, but he's not really a foe. He's more like... [hm, he thinks about this] My rival?

Well, that's good to know. Do you think he will bother your brothers in your absence?

Eh, probably. He's always pestering us in some way. [unless the brothers are pestering him. or mutual pestering!]

Well, I suppose you'll learn exactly what's been happening once we make it home.

[relieable]

Yeah... [that makes his smile fade a little. get back home, huh? he really wants to, even though they haven't been in this town for very long]

Hopefully that'll happen before the Sergeant messes with us. He's ruining the vacation.

Indeed. Hopefully the townsfolk have some leads.

Oh... Yeah, I guess we should talk to them, huh? [he hadn't even thought of that! it's a really good idea]

Different perspectives are always useful, after all.
