Peace Week

Sunday must have been exhausting for you, maybe even upsetting. A new town, new faces and a an ominous order from a man without a face... who wouldn't be a little frightened? Hopefully, all of that is forgotten when you climb out from under your blankets this fine Monday. Rise and shine! A new morning is a new start!

If you make your way to the lounge, you will find a few copies of the local newspaper provided for your perusal. Once you go outdoors, you'll find the weather forecast 100% accurate. It's pretty impressive.

It seems that quiet mornings like this are going to be your everyday life now. Maybe you should see this whole stay as a vacation? Go out and explore the town, meet your fellow motel guests and meet the townspeople. They're sure to welcome you with a smile!

Wow. That's pretty convenient. Wish I lived in a place like this.

[ he sighs. ]

So where do you think would be a good place to visit?

I'm gonna get so much practice answering this... The casino, for one. It's run by a friend of mine. And, the cinema's always a good place to go, to kill time.

[odasaku]

It's been forever since I've seen a movie.

[ he's going to legitimately think about doing that one day, maybe. ]

What about this one place...[ oda takes out a map from his pocket, pointing at where the lodge is. ] It looks like a good place to take pictures of the whole town.

[cartesio]

[ Well, Davis frowns a little, in response to that. ]

Uh... The place that Sergeant guy hangs? Eh... I dunno, maybe. He doesn't really seem to hang around with any of the rest of us. I personally just stay away from there.

[odasaku]

Oh.

[ well that's...interesting. that said, oda doesn't show his interest on the outside. ]

So he's not a social butterfly. Must come with the military title.

[cartesio]

Yeah. And he's new in town. I think he's new in town anyway? We try offerin' our hospitality, but he doesn't come out much.

[odasaku]

Well, you guys tried your best. It's a shame-- [ he takes another sip of the whiskey ] --the town's pretty nice.

[cartesio]

Ain't it just? [ He perks up a little. ] Glad you like it. Hope while y'all are here, you'll keep enjoying yourselves.
