Peace Week

Sunday must have been exhausting for you, maybe even upsetting. A new town, new faces and a an ominous order from a man without a face... who wouldn't be a little frightened? Hopefully, all of that is forgotten when you climb out from under your blankets this fine Monday. Rise and shine! A new morning is a new start!

If you make your way to the lounge, you will find a few copies of the local newspaper provided for your perusal. Once you go outdoors, you'll find the weather forecast 100% accurate. It's pretty impressive.

It seems that quiet mornings like this are going to be your everyday life now. Maybe you should see this whole stay as a vacation? Go out and explore the town, meet your fellow motel guests and meet the townspeople. They're sure to welcome you with a smile!

This week's special in the diner is lemon pie made with love (and a top-secret recipe)

Well... that's strange. Actually, what are they, exactly? Maybe we just have a different name for them.

They're creatures with various elemental powers. And they make up a large part of the world's ecosystem, and often work together with humans in battle and labor.

Oh, I see... so they're basically magical animals, then?

...There's a lot here that I'm finding a bit hard to believe.

Well, I admit I cannot prove their existence as of now. Would a general demonstration of magic suffice?

Sure, why not? A little magic makes things interesting.

Well, I suppose I could do this... [He glances outside the window, and from the ground beside it a single plant sprouts. He plucks it with a grin, handing it over with a flourish.]

[oh, holy shit! he's going to stare for a bit then applaud, with a bit of laughter.]

My, that sure is some magic!

Thank you. Though usually I can grow even larger plants. Still, I think these can at least brings some color to this place.

You should try and brighten up the place with that! I think the place could use a little more color, myself.

It certainly could. I'm thinking the park would be easiest to do first.

Works for me! As long as you don't clog up the pond too much, anyway. People swim in there, you know.

I've noticed. But I prefer landbound plants anyways, so that shouldn't become a problem.

Ah, good! There won't be any problems, then.

I would hate to cause trouble between us so soon, after all.

I wouldn't appreciate it, really, given that we're in the same boat at the moment.
