Peace Week

Sunday must have been exhausting for you, maybe even upsetting. A new town, new faces and a an ominous order from a man without a face... who wouldn't be a little frightened? Hopefully, all of that is forgotten when you climb out from under your blankets this fine Monday. Rise and shine! A new morning is a new start!

If you make your way to the lounge, you will find a few copies of the local newspaper provided for your perusal. Once you go outdoors, you'll find the weather forecast 100% accurate. It's pretty impressive.

It seems that quiet mornings like this are going to be your everyday life now. Maybe you should see this whole stay as a vacation? Go out and explore the town, meet your fellow motel guests and meet the townspeople. They're sure to welcome you with a smile!

This week's special in the diner is lemon pie made with love (and a top-secret recipe)

What other magic do you have?

Normally, my charm can affect anyone, even an enemy actively fighting us, and make them not want to hurt me. And it certainly makes them more receptive to mundane methods of persuasion. Though...it seems that has been disabled, for now, or at least it's failed to work on the Sergeant.

Hoeee... that's pretty amazing! I don't have any sort of charm magic, myself.

[He smiles, looking proud.] It's served me quite well. Even the slightest moment of distraction can mean the difference between success and failure.

[clearities]

I probably wouldn't want magic like that, but I can see how it would be really useful!

[silvertongueheir]

[He nods.] I can certainly see why some people would be uncomfortable with magic that affects the mind.

[clearities]

It's pretty scary, after all...

[A nod.] Now that I'm more aware of it, I try not to overuse it. After all, I should be able to rely on my natural charm just as much.

[clearities]

Yeah... I need to remember not to rely too much on my magic, too.

You seem to be doing well at that. [He gives her an encouraging smile.]
