Peace Week

Sunday must have been exhausting for you, maybe even upsetting. A new town, new faces and a an ominous order from a man without a face... who wouldn't be a little frightened? Hopefully, all of that is forgotten when you climb out from under your blankets this fine Monday. Rise and shine! A new morning is a new start!

If you make your way to the lounge, you will find a few copies of the local newspaper provided for your perusal. Once you go outdoors, you'll find the weather forecast 100% accurate. It's pretty impressive.

It seems that quiet mornings like this are going to be your everyday life now. Maybe you should see this whole stay as a vacation? Go out and explore the town, meet your fellow motel guests and meet the townspeople. They're sure to welcome you with a smile!

This week's special in the diner is lemon pie made with love (and a top-secret recipe)

[Kino can guess at what Nine is actually getting at here, but there's no real reason to correct it.]

[Kino settles once again, staring over at the lodge.]

I want to leave. But still no signs of a way out.

[And as tempting as it is to try to book it, Kino has a strong feeling that's a bad idea.]

Not yet there isn't yo. There's gotta be something in that lodge though.

[ He still wants to charge in and kick ass. ]

Which means getting past the Sergeant.

[Which means, at the very least, some kind of plan.]

Hey, I can punch him while someone sneaks past him.

[ Totally volunteers for distraction duty. ]

I don't think a punch is going to be enough for someone like him.

[ Oh wait. Nine closes his hand to make it glow. ]

[ He'll make a small fire appear for a moment before it flickers out. ]

[Holy cow this is happening. Kino's eyes go wide.]

[However, it's still Kino, meaning it's time to carefully study Nine's hand for any signs of a trick.]

Yeah, I can do a couple of others spells, but this place limited me, yo. Can only use magic once.

[ Which is kind of a bummer, but he's not that good at it anyways. ]
