Peace Week

Sunday must have been exhausting for you, maybe even upsetting. A new town, new faces and a an ominous order from a man without a face... who wouldn't be a little frightened? Hopefully, all of that is forgotten when you climb out from under your blankets this fine Monday. Rise and shine! A new morning is a new start!

If you make your way to the lounge, you will find a few copies of the local newspaper provided for your perusal. Once you go outdoors, you'll find the weather forecast 100% accurate. It's pretty impressive.

It seems that quiet mornings like this are going to be your everyday life now. Maybe you should see this whole stay as a vacation? Go out and explore the town, meet your fellow motel guests and meet the townspeople. They're sure to welcome you with a smile!

I had never heard of them before meeting you, and I've traveled to many places.

That definitely makes it seem like you're from another world. Though it seems your bonds with motorrads serve a similar purpose. [You're not as much as a deprived child as the rest of the poor people here.]

Well, I suppose it depends on how common it is for them to bond with humans.

Well, not that part as much as... being from another world.

[Kino's seen many incredible things, but that one's difficult to wrap one's head around.]

[He nods.] Multiverse theory is something scientists have discussed, though as I can recall the closest to another world we know of is Giratina's Distortion World.

Giratina's Distortion World?

[Sorry???]

I've never had the chance to see it personally, but it is the usual place where the Legendary Giratina resides. The laws of space and gravity have little hold there, and it is easy for outsiders to become lost. But it can also be used to traverse great distances in little time, if one has the proper knowledge.

How often do people find themselves in it?

Not that often, from what I've heard. Mostly it happens when Giratina is angered in some way, though there have been experiments that have resulted in connections to his World, whether deliberately or accidentally.

Did you get any... data from those experiments?

[Kino isn't really a science expert, but now they're curious.]

Well, I mostly know about those experiments from what Shaun tells us. He's much more interested in things like that. Though he's quite good at summarizing. Generally, though, it seems instruments do not work well at all in the Distortion World. They might constantly fluctuate in their measurements even when kept in one place. The best way to make consistent records is actually with drawings, instead of photography. Not to mention Giratina has a tendency to eject people once he finds them. It seems he mostly wants to be left alone.
