Peace Week

Sunday must have been exhausting for you, maybe even upsetting. A new town, new faces and a an ominous order from a man without a face... who wouldn't be a little frightened? Hopefully, all of that is forgotten when you climb out from under your blankets this fine Monday. Rise and shine! A new morning is a new start!

If you make your way to the lounge, you will find a few copies of the local newspaper provided for your perusal. Once you go outdoors, you'll find the weather forecast 100% accurate. It's pretty impressive.

It seems that quiet mornings like this are going to be your everyday life now. Maybe you should see this whole stay as a vacation? Go out and explore the town, meet your fellow motel guests and meet the townspeople. They're sure to welcome you with a smile!

This week's special in the diner is lemon pie made with love (and a top-secret recipe)

Forgot the most important part. Trash always meets the same end no matter what kind it is. [ The grin is returned in kind, even if Dabi's is decidedly less friendly. His eyes flick to one of the nearby piles of scrap and then back to Oso again. ]

Lucky you—trash here ain't in short supply.

[he realizes what he said kind of sounded like he wanted to kill... somebody else here. but he was really referring to the biggest trash pile of all, the Sergeant. Osomatsu still wants that guy dead]

You're right! [he finally picks up one of the knives he's been eyeing, though it's rusty and dull. could it still even do damage] But what brings you up here? Lookin' for your own trash?

[ Hey, that still counts for something. ]

Got enough trash to deal with back home. [ A shrug, that smile still lingering. ] Maybe I just like the scenery, y'know?

[he stuffs the rusty knife into his jacket pocket, thinking he might try to clean it up later. it probably won't matter if he's attacked]

I see! Well, you know what they say, one man's trash is another man's treasure, or something like that. I'm not gonna judge you if you wanna admire this pile of junk.

I'd rather light it all on fire.

[ Just. Being honest. ]

[ah.......? he blinks at that, because it's such a weird thing to say. is that a hobby of his? lighting things on fire? these people are weird]

...Bet ol' Serge would flip, if ya did.

[amburere]

[ Hobby, occupation, ideal—it's all good. ]

Him and a few others. [ Casual shrug. ]

...Are you gonna do it? [should he be worried that Dabi is going to set fire to the town? like an arsonist?]

Not right now. [ He says this with an air of amusement, you don't need to go running at this very moment at least Oso. ]

[not right now, he says. which implies that he might do it later? Osomatsu gives him a wary look before kicking at some piece of junk]

I think it'd be more fun to tar and feather the Sergeant's office.

[amburere]

No need to stop at his office. [ What's the harm in trying to
tar and feathering him then, huh? Nevermind that normal people don't jump from petty crimes to murder in a few months but eh. Dabi's just trying to be supportive, clearly. ]

[relieable]

[ah? that's also a good idea! Osomatsu seems to be thinking about it hard]

...Guess I could do it while he was sleeping. Though, if he caught me, he'd probably kill me. [he shakes his head. he'd have to get someone else to do it for him] Besides, I dunno where I'd even find tar.

[ Head tilt. ]

You can make tar from wood. By burning it. [ Just sayin. ]

[Osomatsu stares at him for a while longer. he wishes he was braver, and stronger, and could carry out these tar and feather plans.

he'll just have to find another way to usurp the Sergeant. somehow]

Well, thanks for the tip, Fire-Man, but I'm not gonna burn down the park just so I can make tar. Nice idea, though.

Dabi. [ Nicknames aren't something he's particularly fond of, even if he's liberal in doling them out himself. ]

Gotta rethink your plan then. The feathers wouldn't have been that hard to get, too bad.

[Fire-Man's a good nickname! a pun, and everything]

Yeah... [HMMM] Bet I could get honey easier, though...!

[ He likes being difficult! ]

Either pillow feathers, or... anything light, I guess. Seeds would probably look just as ridiculous.

Sounds annoying. [ And less exciting than tar and feathering, boo. ]

Yeah, it would be, for him. Can you imagine that big old creepy dude, walkin' out of his lodge? He opens the door an' is assaulted by honey and feathers? He'd probably scream a lot!

[ Yeah, but tarring and feathering goes more hand in hand with torture. Big difference! ]

Might be worth it to see if the feathers could even stick to his face. [ Not so much as interested in just plain annoying the guy, but if this provided intel, that changes things. ]
