Welcome Party

Though you've never seen the casino before, it is easy to find today. This is partly attributable to the music spilling from open doors right into the town. The people of Cartesio have made good on their announcement - doubtlessly, there is a party going on here.

Anyone entering will be confronted with a friendly citizen pulling them aside to inform them of their dress rental service. Though it is called 'rental' there is no actual fee to be paid. The townspeople have simply brought a collection of suits and cocktail dresses into the casino foyer and they are offering to lend them out for the occasion. A folding screen to get changed behind is provided as well.

Once you venture deeper into the casino, you'll find yourself in a surprisingly spacious room. Tables that might normally occupy the open space have been pushed to the wall and filled with various buffet foods. Though you might be tempted to spend your whole afternoon trying out the various local specialties, the rhythmic music from the speakers tries to lure you to the dancefloor. A few locals are already swinging their hips to the beat.

Though if you're simply looking for the main highlight of a casino, you won't have to look long either. Across from the buffet, you will find a wide variety of game machines. Pachinko, slot machines.... even a few odd-one-out games that look like they should rather belong in an arcade. Try your luck, try your skill! If you prove successful, an employee is waiting to hand out various fun goods to you.

There are quite a few townspeople in attendance on this party, but there is a silent understanding that you tourists are the VIPs here. Anywhere you go, any game you want to try, the citizens are quick to move aside for you and let you have the maximum amount of fun.

[ Oh, Kinzie is here for getting dressed the hell up - I couldn't find one I liked, but she's in a black suit with a purple dress shirt and accents - and going to town on a casino. She spends a lot of time running around playing the games, because you can bring a Kinzie to a party but you can't make her talk to people. She does give some attention to the games of chance, but her serious efforts definitely go towards the arcade machines. She is very good at them. ]

C'mon, Pac-Man, you little fuck...

[ So that's going great.

Later on, though, she does sort of... wallflower at the dance floor, watching everyone else and sipping on some kind of Beverage. Come say hi? ]

[If she sees anything weird about this, she doesn't acknowledge it.]

[ looks back at her for a second ]

I'm going to assume from your attitude right now that you've never played pac-man before.

It's working out as okay as anything. Little guy's still going at it.

Nice suit. [Franciscus has swapped out his usual white suit for a dark red one woyh gold and silver accents that catch the casino lights.] Perhaps I should have selected a dress myself, or else they would seem quite oversupplied.

[He could totally make a dress look good on himself too, he's sure.]

Thank you very much. The FBI always put me in dresses on undercover missions, figured I'd change up a little.

[ She takes a sip of her drink, looking him up and down. ]

[ Kinzie laughs a little. ]

[ Cian's been approaching to look over Kinzie's progress curiously - she's never played much video games herself, so there is a lot of spectator appeal.

But then Kinzie says the f-word and Cian just kind of reflexively gasps and puts her hand over her mouth in shock. ]

[ Kinzie looks over and just kind of Blinks. ]

Do your computers stop you guys from swearing, too?

[ Noticing how ridiculous her reaction is in this context, Cian dissolves into soft laughter. ]

Not forcibly. It just isn't done. I only knew this one because a friend told me before. It's exciting to hear it said casually.

[ she thinks for a second, still playing the game ]

[Keith is also browsing through what arcade games are available. He's not the most sociable person himself, so he debates just walking past and leaving Kinzie to pac-man, but...eventually he decides to approach.]
