Seven days have passed. Quite peaceful days, almost too peaceful. The town has welcomed you, excited to see tourists for the first time in many, many,
many years. Some may have liked the peace, others may have been annoyed by it, but it was undeniable Cartesio seemed like such a nice and safe place it was hard to believe you had been told to kill each other.
But the threat is still up in the air. What's more: how much patience does the Sergeant have left?
Every time you take a look into the Lodge, you see the Sergeant. Lately he's looking more and more annoyed. Even though you can't see his face, you can feel he's getting frustrated. How long will it be before he lashes out and does something about these peaceful days?
Nobody in the town could suspect the harrowing times that'd befall Cartesio.
When you wake up on Sunday, you'll find
new maps in the map rack and brochures on the table, showing places you hadn't noticed in the town before. Enjoy!

Do you want it? Because I don't.
[Even if the person she's offering it to is nowhere near her height or build. She seems more agitated than a dress has any right to make her, for whatever reason.
Regardless, she can be found later in the diner. She seems lost in thought, which might make it a surprise when she says, abruptly, to whoever might be nearby:]
Who are they? [...] The people you saw on the screen a few days ago.
[Her reason for asking isn't spoken, but her curiosity is sincere.]
diner;
What? Why're you asking me about them?
no subject
Because I'm curious and I want to know, which I'm immediately regretting.
no subject
Just people I know back home--from school. He's an idiot to try anything with them, though.
no subject
Why? Do they have weird explodey powers too?
no subject
Every single one of them has a unique Quirk. It'd be strange if everyone had one like mine, really. [ And it'd weird him out, tbh. ] Point being, they'd give him hell if he tried to fuck them up, so it's not worth the effort to think about it too hard.

Even after a bit of a nap, she's still a little out of it, but she's definitely quicker to react now than she was this morning.]
Oh. Jusis? He's a friend of mine from school.
[She seems happy to be talking about him, despite the rather terse description – there's a different sort of light to her expression than usual.]
Why? Who'd you see?
no subject
[She frowns, deciding how much she wants to say here.]
...My parents, and - someone I used to be close to.
no subject
No... but then he woulda had to tell me one way or another what he did do with Rean, so I guess that'd make sense. Better t'leave me in the dark if he wants to scare me, I guess.
[Millium pauses thoughtfully when Natalie lists her precious people.]
..."Used to." Are they d— [Ah, no, perhaps she should be gentle, here.] ...gone, now?
no subject
[Nailed it. Either way, she shakes her head.]
Nope. He’s still around.
no subject
[But there's the second part of that.]
So why aren't you close anymore, then? Did something happen?

Couple people from work. Guess he didn't have anything better to go with.

Unless you're, like, super close to some of your coworkers.

I don't make friends easily.

I'd say that sucks, but considering the offer he's putting out, that might actually be lucky for you this time around.

You...don't want this dress?
[ why tho, it's pretty ]
no subject
I'm not really the type for formal wear. You interested? You're a little bit shorter than I am, but not that much.
no subject
If you truly don't want it, I don't mind taking it.
[ It fits her style, at least, she's a dressy dresser to the core. ]
no subject
[Her shrug is noncommittal, even if she’s glancing at the dress like it’s personally offended her somehow.]
You seem like more of the dress wearing kind, anyways.
