The peaceful times are over. Moloch von Zinzer was murdered, and Nine was sentenced as his murderer. Everyone in Cartesio knows that.
Although life goes on, it seems the town of Cartesio isn't going to forget the tourists' transgressions. Not only they commited larceny in the cinema, they also murdered and executed in their town! It's no surprise their hospitality towards the visitors has cooled down considerably.
Not only they're maintaining a tense cordiality with them, they also have started talking behind the visitors' backs. All kinds of rumors are starting to sprout, yet nobody seems to be willing to say it to the tourists' faces. Talking directly to most passerby makes them distrustful, and nobody seems to want to be in close quarters alone with them.
It's only matter of time before the relationship between tourists and Cartesio starts degrading even further.
In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and
the maps have been updated once again.

[This morning Keith's up and about early, and... surprisingly enough, he's not actually wearing his paladin armor. He's wearing dark sweatpants, red T-shirt and a grey hoodie on with the hood pulled up. Whatever he's up to though, it's clear he doesn't necessarily want to be seen as he keeps ducking behind buildings periodically. It kinda looks like... he's trying to follow a group of Cartesio's high schoolers??]
clinic - early afternoon (investigation but also open to PCs!)
[Later in the afternoon, Keith's headed to the town hospital with purpose. Time to figure out a couple of things about this town. Time to go looking for some birth records and peek in at the morgue.]
Investigation
The clinic isn't that large, but it seems an unnamed NPC receives Keith in the way to the administrative offices]
Can I help you?
no subject
But okay he was prepared with a better cover story this time!!]
I'm looking for the bathroom.
[Kind of.]

[Judging by the look this person gives you, Keith, they're very aware you were arrested not too long ago]
Ever thought of simply asking? You guys really need to learn how to ask for things instead of breaking and causing disturbances.
no subject
Ever think maybe this is why I don't wanna ask?
[Sure, they're not wrong about his intentions here, but that's a whole lot of self righteousness about their group as a whole. He probably shouldn't be arguing this, but the implications of what they've learned last night have put him in a mood that isn't making him feel too personable.]

I'm looking for some birth records.
[Who the heck even knows, at this point, if any of the se people are really from they say they're from.]
no subject
[Their first thought is ask why Keith would want such a thing, but they feel Keith won't want to answer]
Whose birth record?
no subject
But in all seriousness, since Keith has seen the notebook of obituaries that Katsuki has found, he's going to name one of those names. An older one, sinply so there aren't any accusations of invasion of privacy lodged at him. He doesn't actually feel much like arguing.]
around town
That thing get too sweaty for you, Keith?
no subject
I'm trying to figure out where their school is and get inside to use a computer. Armor stands out too much.
[Not going to answer whether the armor was gross or not!!]
no subject
[He's not letting that go but at least he's doing it in significantly more hushed tones now.]
High-school infiltration. Solid plan. Great past-time. I'm in.
no subject
I don't recall saying this was a party.
[Sounding more surprised than annoyed. Part of him is maybe a little amused.]
no subject
[Spoken, in a matter-of-fact way, as he reaches out and gives Keith a lone clap on the shoulder. You can just feel his go get 'em attitude in it.]
I'll be your backup.
no subject
Alright. You can handle the talking if anyone asks questions.
[You know. Just in case. Doing another check and-- they're off crossing the street and making a left onto the next bit of sidewalk.]
Let's move.

Always been known for my people skills.
[This is a terrible idea and he’s living for it, in all honesty. He follows Keith in as much of an inconspicuous manner as he can, which is admittedly not much.]
wildcard ---> park shit
This doesn't mean that these plans were good ones. But they were ones nonetheless, and honestly as long as they didn't necessarily hurt anyone, it was probably not a bad idea at all to give it a whirl. When he shows up, the blond's wearing a hoodie (taken from a certain store) so it decently covers his head, because he is also not about getting rained on ... maybe. Totally. ]
Oi! I'm here, so if you've gotten your ass around too give me a signal or some shit.
[ He's making sure Keith's where he's supposed to be so this isn't like something he's doing on his own. ]

[Keith's stepping out into the open. He's been scoping out the park for a bit before the meeting time they agreed on. Scoping things out, getting a sense of where would be the best place to cause a disturbance without collateral, making sure they have a clear vantage point to watch for any reporters.
Instead of his usual gear, Keith's got more casual clothes on, hoodie pulled up to obscure his face and a backpack slung over one shoulder. He jerks a thumb behind him.]
A little over that way should work. Nobody's there right now. If we need a diversion to get out, I've got a few smoke bombs.
[See? Buying out the hunting store wasn't thaaaaaaat awful....]

Piece of fucking cake.
[ Which Bakugou considers trying to see about nudging Keith into buying him one despite having the money for it because Friday's his bday, but decides that causing explosions is a better thing to focus on right now. So, he'll be sending one large one through the park, and ends up wrecking one of the benches in the process but it's fine. ]
no subject
But y;know? Keith is... actually legitimately impressed here. VERY MUCH AGAINST HIS WILL FOR THE RECORD, but credit where credit's due? That's a sweet explosion. Must be nice to be able to just do that. If only he had Black, then they could just blast the Lodge out of existence and be out of here in seconds, but this is life now. It sucks.]
Not half bad.
[Keeping the commentary low key. Any more and the kid might start gloating and they're not here to look delighted about mysterious and scary explosions in the park, they're here to observe the people that show up. Not to mention, gloating Bakugou's just... on principle sound kind of annoying.
Within seconds, gasps from the unsuspecting locals start up and a crowd begins to form around the poor bench that did nothing. Loud explosion means it's a pretty big crowd that starts forming.]
no subject
He remembers how powerless they are - he is. And he hates it.
So the comment goes unsaid and there's a crowd - he's looking for the journalist...but nothing. He simply turns his head towards the other male and shakes it. ]
Bastard's more sneaky than we thought.
[ He'll take it back if Keith saw something but somehow he doubts it. ]
