A second murder shook the town of Cartesio. Clarisse's ambush plan ended with Katsuki Bakugou's death. Now what?
Nothing to be done other than continuing their life and watch what happens. After two weeks, after the deaths they have seen, it's hard to think there's a way out. The only option is to wait for the right chance to turn the tables and see a weak point in the Sergeant's plans -- and hopefully not see any murders.
The townspeople's attitude towards the tourists soured even more. The destruction of the church was much worse than anything they had seen so far, and they ran out of patience. People who in the past were nice and wanted nothing more than to make the tourists happy now aren't afraid of saying to their faces what's what. Random pedestrians shout at the visitors, telling them to stop being criminals. Although there are a few who have more patience than the rest, general opinion is clear:
The tourists are nuisances, to say the least.
In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and
the maps have been updated once again.

Hawks is going to make himself comfortable sitting on the back of the bench, his feet chilling out on the seat of the bench.]
Looking for a new haunt, since the graveyard is out?
no subject
Graveyard's too easy. Why d'ya think our first hideout was in a bar and not an underground cave?
no subject
That answer is obvious—easy access to booze, and a place no one looks at closely for transients.
[Graveyards have heroes walking by occasionally because shady people visit them, and Warp Gate’s bar had been in a classier area. Less people would think the League would be housed there so they wouldn’t look.]
no subject
Since you got all that figured out, where's our current one?
no subject
With you here and Warp Gate arrested, probably a video game store. The lizard sure as hell isnt going to tell Shigaraki to pick somewhere else.
[The joke is Hawks best cover for not knowing. He wishes he actually knew where it was—his life would have been a lot less complicated if he knew that information.]

And if I wasn't here?
no subject
Well. [A pointed look at Dabi and then the surrounding area.] You seem to favor open places that're out of the way of main thoroughfares, but you're smart enough not to chose obvious unless you're aiming for practicality over inconspicuousness. [The warf comes to mind--practical if you want to avoid people who would recognize the hero you're meeting with, and as a place you can have lots of fire without immediately getting caught.] Probably a small specialty store, maybe hardware or sports equipment.

You think you know me so well, birdie...
no subject
Is that a challenge Dabi? It sounds like a challenge. Hawks leans forward towards Dabi, hands braced on the ground for balance.] I certainly don't hear ya sayin' I'm wrong, hotshot.
no subject
Wrong. Think you're skippin' a few steps, like knowing my name for one.
no subject
You’re forgetting that’s a two way street yourself. “Birdie” is no more my name than “Hotshot” is yours. [ “Hawks” and “Dabi” are implied as well, of course.]
no subject
Here's where I'm supposed to say: you tell me yours and I'll tell you mine. Too bad I never do the shit I'm supposed to do.
no subject
If it means that much to you, how 'bout we make a deal? I don't yours, you don't ask mine.

I'd have to say you're guilty of a lot, but I bet it's not that.

[ His mockery is clear, yet Dabi embraces the ludicrousness of those headlines anyway. Not by going for another kiss, but by not so gently pulling Hawks onto his lap. That's better. Don't mind his roaming hands. ]

Y'know, we probably don't need to wait and see. The rag here reports on paper sharks, they're just dying for a real headline.
no subject
As long as you’re not the one dying to produce that headline. That’s not exactly something to crow home about.
no subject
Did that once already, pretty bird. [ Too much information? Yeah, but in this case it kinda proves Dabi's point from earlier. And sometimes with Hawks, it's far too tempting to just hit back beside his better instincts. ]
no subject
Then there's no way you want to repeat it. Can't have your stories getting stale of all things.
no subject
'm more interested in making the headline than being one nowadays. Can't let myself get rusty either.
