Sunday must have been exhausting for you, maybe even upsetting. A new town, new faces and a an ominous order from a man without a face... who wouldn't be a little frightened? Hopefully, all of that is forgotten when you climb out from under your blankets this fine Monday. Rise and shine! A new morning is a new start!
If you make your way to the lounge, you will find a few copies of the local newspaper provided for your perusal. Once you go outdoors, you'll find the weather forecast 100% accurate. It's pretty impressive.
It seems that quiet mornings like this are going to be your everyday life now. Maybe you should see this whole stay as a vacation? Go out and explore the town, meet your fellow motel guests and meet the townspeople. They're sure to welcome you with a smile!
This week's special in the diner is lemon pie made with love (and a top-secret recipe)

[ Early morning, they can find Nine sitting out on the floor watching the entrance. His arms are crossed, and there's a mop resting on the floor beside him.
He'll look over at anyone around to give a headtilt and a lift of his hand. Nothing to see here, he's just being a guard dog. ]
[ Diner (open to NPCs or PCs) ]
[ Close to lunch, he can be found in a booth seat sitting up on top of the back of the seat. He has a plate of pie in his lap. Looking over at anyone who walks by. ]
Hey- [ Yawning. And then taking another bite. ] Man, it's quiet as hell here.
[ It's weird. ]
[ Junkyard ]
[ He's back here again, probably thanks to getting lost. Rolling up his sleeves as he investigates one of the piles with the mop handle. ]
Whoa. Hey, is that a knife?
Motel
[He can wait to head out, at least for a bit, to see if he can get this younger man talking. He's been interesting to watch so far. And he'd mentioned a lance....]
no subject
Yeah, I mean who knows what the hell that guy will pull next, yo.
[ Could relocate them or something. ]

[There's definite mistrust in that look aimed his way, but they are, after all, strangers. It's only fair... musing on that, Eric lets his gaze falls to the mop. No point in pretending it doesn't - it's early enough that he wasn't at all subtle just now.
To hell with subtlety, anyway - ]
You woke up unarmed too, didn't you? I confess I've only just let myself think about coming up with a substitute, I didn't think to take one that was already here. Good call.

[ That it's behind those doors... He should have shown them some freaking proof first. Rubbing the back of his head and looking back at the mop he took from storage. ]
Might be smart. I know he wants us to kill each other eventually, but... some jerk already bought out the weapon store.
no subject
[He grimaces at the thought.]
I used to work with cast bronze. If there's enough tin and copper, and I could build a small casting forge... but that's the worst case, I think. Second-worst, rather. You're right, he could be lying.
no subject
But he's thinking about the lying part. ]
I mean, there is a way to find out. We'll just have to break in there to see, yo. Or demand some kind of proof. [ Which...didn't work out so well. ]

[He'll be polite and not ask outright if Nine can actually do stealth, though the somewhat wry look on his face probably says enough.]
Motel
Good morning. Are you cleaning?
no subject
Huh? What the hell? [ And then he follows her gaze to the mop. Give him a moment cause he's tired. ] Hell no. Those bastards took my spear so using the best thing I could find.
[ Which was a mop? ]

... you should ask Keith-san about weapons. The paper indoors said he bought, uhm, all of them.... and will get them delivered here.
no subject
[ That's concerning for reasons. ]
no subject
It's not like he can actually use this many weapons at once... right?
[ RIGHT??? ]
no subject
Throw a gun like you throw a knife]Man, what the hell? Someone has to knock that guy down a peg or two....
[ Its tempting to go wake his ass up to do just that, but Nine is guarding. So he'll just sit there and grumble ]
no subject
[ That sounds... violent?? And Cian looks pretty intimidated. ]
no subject
Get him to knock that shit off, yo.
no subject
You mean talk him into returning his purchases?
no subject
Oh hells nah. Maybe talk him into taking it all apart, yo. Someone else shady could buy them.

[ She's never seen a gun before coming here, but this seems like how it should be. ]

diner
It's a big change from what I'm used to. Kinda makes me wish there were more people around, bet that'd bring some more energy into the place.
no subject
Yeah, it's pretty much a ghost town, yo.
[ And he's seen towns pretty messed up and empty ]
They all seem really chill about the situation, too. Like it's normal or something. It's pretty creepy.
no subject
Maybe it is. There's no tellin' what happened in this town before we got here. [ And before Sakura got here. ]
diner
[ She's got a sandwich and some fries on her plate, and looks over. ]
...may I?
[ sit in the empty booth, she means ]
no subject
Yo. [ Definitely glad to see a pretty face. Getting back on task for once without prodding, he'll glance around ]
Hell, I've been to towns with less people that sounded more lively.
