Peace Week

Sunday must have been exhausting for you, maybe even upsetting. A new town, new faces and a an ominous order from a man without a face... who wouldn't be a little frightened? Hopefully, all of that is forgotten when you climb out from under your blankets this fine Monday. Rise and shine! A new morning is a new start!

If you make your way to the lounge, you will find a few copies of the local newspaper provided for your perusal. Once you go outdoors, you'll find the weather forecast 100% accurate. It's pretty impressive.

It seems that quiet mornings like this are going to be your everyday life now. Maybe you should see this whole stay as a vacation? Go out and explore the town, meet your fellow motel guests and meet the townspeople. They're sure to welcome you with a smile!

This week's special in the diner is lemon pie made with love (and a top-secret recipe)

[She listens carefully to all of that, although she can't quite keep the look of horror off her face as the description becomes more dire. After Sakura's done speaking, she looks around before responding.]

...So it only took a few days for someone to cave last time. [Yikes.] Why do you think he changed his mind about letting you tell anyone this?

[clearities]

I don't know. Maybe he thought that it didn't matter in the long run-- that he would still get what he wanted, in the end.

[robitussin]

Then it seems weird that he was so determined for you to not tell anyone at first that he threatened to kill you.

[A pause.]

Unless that's, like, a thing that he does a lot. Which actually might check out, given what he's told us so far. Jesus, that's fu... [Wait, she's talking to a child.] That's messed up.

[clearities]

Maybe he probably didn't expect me to ask him to get permission to tell the others on my birthday. I don't know... maybe he respected, a little, that I did something that wasn't selfish. I could be wrong, though.

[robitussin]

...Be careful not to give him too much credit.

[But that's all she'll say about that.]

[clearities]

Mmhm. I'll try.

[robitussin]
