Peace Week

Sunday must have been exhausting for you, maybe even upsetting. A new town, new faces and a an ominous order from a man without a face... who wouldn't be a little frightened? Hopefully, all of that is forgotten when you climb out from under your blankets this fine Monday. Rise and shine! A new morning is a new start!

If you make your way to the lounge, you will find a few copies of the local newspaper provided for your perusal. Once you go outdoors, you'll find the weather forecast 100% accurate. It's pretty impressive.

It seems that quiet mornings like this are going to be your everyday life now. Maybe you should see this whole stay as a vacation? Go out and explore the town, meet your fellow motel guests and meet the townspeople. They're sure to welcome you with a smile!

[For the most part, Dazai is quiet through this re-telling, with a thoughtful look on his face. Not an overly serious one, but... he is taking it all in.

As you can see in the guestbook, I have one as well. It’s not particularly very useful, but I’d like to verify for myself whether or not it works on others here. It can be rather problematic at times after all.

Yeah, I can sense the magic abilities in others and use spells. [ Ironically, she hasn't looked at her own guestbook profile, so she doesn't know that she can actually create her own magic into cards. ] But... I don't have the staff, or the cards with me.

Oh? So you need your staff? I see. Probably another thing they’ve run off with that belongs to the lot of us.

[Well that’s still important enough to know.]

[ There's genuine awe and surprise in her voice. ]

Um, it's not much, but I can actually sense magic of other people if they're using their powers.
