Peace Week

Sunday must have been exhausting for you, maybe even upsetting. A new town, new faces and a an ominous order from a man without a face... who wouldn't be a little frightened? Hopefully, all of that is forgotten when you climb out from under your blankets this fine Monday. Rise and shine! A new morning is a new start!

If you make your way to the lounge, you will find a few copies of the local newspaper provided for your perusal. Once you go outdoors, you'll find the weather forecast 100% accurate. It's pretty impressive.

It seems that quiet mornings like this are going to be your everyday life now. Maybe you should see this whole stay as a vacation? Go out and explore the town, meet your fellow motel guests and meet the townspeople. They're sure to welcome you with a smile!

This week's special in the diner is lemon pie made with love (and a top-secret recipe)

mural time

[doublelammy]

[Good morning! Millium wanders down the stairs, yawning, and stops abruptly once she sees the mural draped over the table.

She gasps, loud and exaggerated, before running over and grabbing a crayon out of the box at more-or-less random.]

Aah~ this is so cool! Let's see, let's see...

[She glances down at the crayon in her hand. It's green.

She takes no time to think at all before mashing crayon to paper, as if she knows what she wants immediately. Once she's done, she replaces the crayon and more carefully selects another, a light blue. Then it's right back to furiously mashing the crayon to the paper.

After a moment, she steps back with a smile on her face, admiring her work of art.]

There we go! Hee... I'm gonna have to add everyone else, too.

[Osomatsu hears Millium and looks up from where he's sitting with the guestbook. he grins, closing it up and setting it where he got it, then walks over to see what she's drawn]

Oh, wow, Milli-chan! That looks great! [he figured she'd have something to add]

...Milli-chan?

[Millium does not know what honorifics are, but she understands well enough that this is a nickname.

After a moment of confusion, she smiles brightly. She likes it.]

Ehehe. Thank you! I'm gonna have to come back to this a lot. I have a looooot of people I need to draw!

[relieable]

[ah, Osomatsu is a bit worried that she doesn't approve of the nickname at first. Milli-chan is a bit easier to say for him, than Millium. when she smiles, though, that makes him feel relieved]

Really? Do you plan on drawing everyone here?

[doublelammy]

Yep! Everybody here, and everybody back home, too.

[She points to the green stick figure.]

My friend, Jusis. He wears a lot of green, so I knew I had to draw him when I grabbed a green crayon.

[relieable]

[that makes Osomatsu's grin a bit wider, fond]

My brother, Choromatsu, wears green a lot, too! It's his favorite color!

Ehe, really?

I think green might be Jusis', too. He'd prolly deny it, though. He hates saying he likes aaanything.

[That's probably why he looks as irritated as Millium could draw him.]

[wow, Choromatsu is easily irritated, too]

How come? Is he a grump? [Osomatsu pokes his scowly face on the mural]

[doublelammy]

Yep! He's a super-grump. [She grins while describing him.] He's always sooo serious, and he always complains about having fun with me even though I know he likes it.

[She puts on a gruffer voice to try to "imitate" him. It's horrible.]

"Millium, you've got to take this seriously!" n' "Millium, don't you dare drag me into your nonsense again, can't you see I have work to do?"

[She loves this man entirely.]

[the imitation makes Osomatsu laugh, because Millium is very cute. of course, now this conversation has got him thinking about Choromatsu, and Osomatsu's homesick all over again. really, it's only been a few days since he's been home!]

Man, that's the way it always is with grumpy people, though. They're always trying to get you to have less fun. [he shakes his head knowingly]

[doublelammy]

[Millium's more than a little homesick, too. She gets it.

She likes the people she's met here well enough, but they're all still more or less strangers. They're not her friends. They're not her family.]

Yep, yep. But for every grump, there's someone like you or me to make up for it!

N' I guess someone's gotta be the sunshine to the rain. Or at least, I think that's something I've heard.

[relieable]

...Guess that's a good way of putting it... [it takes all types, doesn't it? that's kind of a sweet way of thinking about things. maybe he'd tell Choromatsu that, and Choromatsu will wonder how he got so smart! or so lame...]

[doublelammy]

Ehehe. It's kinda cheesy, yeah? But I think it's nice.

[She tosses her hands behind her head.]

Musta been something I picked up from Rean, then. He's the cheese king.

[relieable]

[it sounds like Millium knows a lot of interesting people! Osomatsu hums in thought]

Is he a giant mouse? [he's half joking...... though it would be cool if she knew a giant mouse, just saying]

[doublelammy]

[Millium does catch that it's a joke, and laughs.]

No! Althoooough I could prolly con him into dressing up like one.

Just the master of cheesy speeches. He takes 'em all super-seriously, too, but at least unlike Jusis he can have fun, too.

Ohh, I see. [master of cheesy speeches, huh? he must be a hero] What color would he be?

[doublelammy]

Red!

[Instantly. And then, a pause.]

...Maybe grey. He's got Valley, after all, and there is that whole "Ashen Chevalier" thing.

But he had that red coat during the war n' our school uniforms were red, so I always think of him as red...

[relieable]

Red's a good color. [he looks pleased] It's the color of a true hero, yanno! All the famous super heroes wear red!

[and so does a certain awesome big brother]

[doublelammy]

Ehehe... red it is, then! 'Cause that definitely suits him.

Red for heroes, though, huh? I guess I never really thought of it that way, but now that you mention it... [She taps at her lips thoughtfully.] There's sure been a lotta talk about heroes and villains since we got here. S'kinda weird.

Those were always just storybook things before here, y'know? Other worlds are crazy.

[relieable]

Yeah, you're right... Even your world sounds a lot weirder than mine. [he certainly doesn't have to worry about combat, at least not now] An' I've been meeting people who're doing all kinds of amazing things.

[doublelammy]

...Yeah, even I can't deny that things can get pretty crazy where I'm from!

[Man, Oso. She hasn't even told you about the giant robots yet.]

Right?! I met a guy who lit one of my sharks on fire! [Like. With super powers. But she fails to explain that part.]

Was it that Dabi guy? [HE LIKES FIRE]

Umm. [Names are hard.]

Spooky guy that's like half-leather and half-staples?

[relieable]

Yeah, that's him. [half leather and half staples... that's one way of describing Dabi] I called him Fire-Man, and he made sure to correct me. Guess he doesn't like nicknames.

...So I should basically just call him that forever, got it.

That's what he gets for burnin' up my shark, anyway.
