Peace Week

Sunday must have been exhausting for you, maybe even upsetting. A new town, new faces and a an ominous order from a man without a face... who wouldn't be a little frightened? Hopefully, all of that is forgotten when you climb out from under your blankets this fine Monday. Rise and shine! A new morning is a new start!

If you make your way to the lounge, you will find a few copies of the local newspaper provided for your perusal. Once you go outdoors, you'll find the weather forecast 100% accurate. It's pretty impressive.

It seems that quiet mornings like this are going to be your everyday life now. Maybe you should see this whole stay as a vacation? Go out and explore the town, meet your fellow motel guests and meet the townspeople. They're sure to welcome you with a smile!

This week's special in the diner is lemon pie made with love (and a top-secret recipe)

Oh, yeah. [that's a good place to start. he didn't get a chance to read the guestbook, yet, so he knows even less] I'm Osomatsu! But if that's too long, Oso's fine.

So, did you wanna fix up one of those knives? Maybe the hunting shop has rust-remover.

Yeah. ...Let's bring both. Maybe we can fix up the other one for you, too.

[Because it would be sad if Oso got hurt, she thinks.

She's not sure it's sad enough to make her cry, but it'd be sad. She can recognize that much.

She hops down from the scrap pile, actually landing pretty gracefully.]

Though, I wonder if they've got anything left after that guy was in there earlier...

[Isn't this normally how bonding works?]

There was this guy in the hunting shop earlier when I poked my head in that was tryna buy everything. Like, at once.

[oh. that. that intrigues him, but also worries him. why did he do that? to protect himself, or to put everyone else in danger?]

Everything at once, huh? [suspicious] Did he say why?

Um... if he did, I don't remember.

Sorry. I was kinda busy making fun of him for even trying, so...

[oh... oh... as weird as the situation is, Osomatsu appreciates that she has a sense of humor, to want to make fun of a man for buying out an entire store]

That buying up all the big toys wasn't gonna compensate for anything.

he completely forgets that she is a little girl who probably shouldn't be saying anything like this, and snorts loudly before breaking into a fit of laughter.

first time he's laughed since he arrived in Cartesio. inappropriate jokes are Osomatsu's weakness!]

[His laughter sparks laughter in her, too. Someone gets her here!]

Right?! The worst part was, he didn't even get it!

Oh, no! That makes it even better! [he rubs his face] Who is this dingus?

Ummm... oh, gosh. What was his name... he had a shorter one...

Keet. [like parakeet?] Guess I'll look for his paranoid ass later. If he bought out the whole hunting shop, I might pay him a visit.

Ehehe... if he bought out the whole hunting shop, he's gotta be easy to find, right?

No way all that's gonna fit in our dinky little motel rooms.

[Osomatsu nods as they start to leave the junkyard. he feels more relaxed now that they've shared that joke. he's acting more like himself, as though he were chatting with his brothers]

No kidding! Where's he gonna put all that? Or what if Sarge finds out?

[Millium follows along at his side like a particularly excitable blue puppy.]

No idea! But... knowing Sarge, he's probably gonna think it's great. So long as he doesn't try n' use 'em on Sarge again, anyway.

[ah, right. Osomatsu wishes someone would kill that guy. then maybe they could go home... but he doesn't really know. he keeps those thoughts to himself]

...Hey. You were here before, right? With that other kid.

Huh? Yeah. Although, Sakura basically summed it up durin' the meeting earlier.

[Sakura. okay. that name would be easy enough to remember]

I guess I just wanted t'know if you knew anything about Sarge. Like... what was up with his face, or how he was able to bring us here.

[doublelammy]

[Millium shakes her head no.]

Mm... sorry. He was creepy like that when I got here.

I woke up like all of you, just a couple days before you guys did. And he basically said all the same stuff then – [And now, she's poorly imitating him:] "Do what I say, kill people, I'll let you go."

And I did do what he said. But he sent Rean and the Princess home... and not me.

So... Even if we do what he says, he might not send us home?

[doublelammy]

I dunno.

Like I said... he sent the Princess and Rean home, although I know they didn't help with what he asked, and they didn't kill anyone.

But neither did Sakura, and she's still here, too. So I dunno if it has anything to do with listening to what he says or not.

[HMMMM. Osomatsu does not like this. he continues to glare for a little while longer, spinning his wheels. then he finally sighs, links his fingers behind his head]

Maaaan. It's all really scary. The more I hear, the more I don't like. I'm not used to this shit. Nothing like this ever happens at home. [it's all fun and gags and horrible innuendos]
