Sunday must have been exhausting for you, maybe even upsetting. A new town, new faces and a an ominous order from a man without a face... who wouldn't be a little frightened? Hopefully, all of that is forgotten when you climb out from under your blankets this fine Monday. Rise and shine! A new morning is a new start!
If you make your way to the lounge, you will find a few copies of the local newspaper provided for your perusal. Once you go outdoors, you'll find the weather forecast 100% accurate. It's pretty impressive.
It seems that quiet mornings like this are going to be your everyday life now. Maybe you should see this whole stay as a vacation? Go out and explore the town, meet your fellow motel guests and meet the townspeople. They're sure to welcome you with a smile!
This week's special in the diner is lemon pie made with love (and a top-secret recipe)

Why are there so many knives here? I own ten knives now, but not one computer!
[ After that, she goes to the gas station to check out... well, she's sure spending a lot of time investigating the rope and the duct tape.
And then, after running twelve knives and a lot of rope and duct tape to her room, she can be found in the lobby, taking some notes. But she might be a little hard to find, since she's uh. Sitting under one of the tables as she does so. ]
NPC AND OPTIONAL PC INTERACTION
[ Later on, though, she hits up the tavern and sits around drinking literally until closing time, or at last until most everyone else is gone. Mostly she's looking to see what the clientele is like late at night - she wants to chat up any sketchy dudes or ladies or other who show up, and regrets that for once it's not in line with why she usually chats people up late at night. If there are no sketchy people, she might just chat up the bartender. ]
NPC
She might find herself disappointed. It seems like the folk who come in here are just as wholesome as the rest of the town, even late. Workers with night shifts, mostly. A few people up late, just looking for social interaction.
So, the bartender it is. Davis Williams is a patient man. Friendly, as expected of his job. ]
Evening, miss. What can I be gettin' ya?

Uh... an Old-Fashioned?
[ she sighs ]
Is it usually this quiet in here?
no subject
Oh, I wouldn't say this is quiet. Just laid-back. Some folk need a place open later, and that's what I give them. But, uh, yeah, this is kind of our usual.

Huh. Do you get people from out of town very often? Is there a highway nearby?

[ ...You may notice, if you've looked around town a bit? The casino, the cinema--neither of them are around town. ]
Gas station
Well, it seems like it can restrain a person quite thoroughly. Though not comfortably. [There's a slight lilt to his voice at the end, as if he's implying something.]

Well, depends on your level of comfort, I guess. But no, it wouldn't be my first choice.
