April 7th - Welcome Party

Welcome Party
Though you've never seen the casino before, it is easy to find today. This is partly attributable to the music spilling from open doors right into the town. The people of Cartesio have made good on their announcement - doubtlessly, there is a party going on here.
Anyone entering will be confronted with a friendly citizen pulling them aside to inform them of their dress rental service. Though it is called 'rental' there is no actual fee to be paid. The townspeople have simply brought a collection of suits and cocktail dresses into the casino foyer and they are offering to lend them out for the occasion. A folding screen to get changed behind is provided as well.
Once you venture deeper into the casino, you'll find yourself in a surprisingly spacious room. Tables that might normally occupy the open space have been pushed to the wall and filled with various buffet foods. Though you might be tempted to spend your whole afternoon trying out the various local specialties, the rhythmic music from the speakers tries to lure you to the dancefloor. A few locals are already swinging their hips to the beat.
Though if you're simply looking for the main highlight of a casino, you won't have to look long either. Across from the buffet, you will find a wide variety of game machines. Pachinko, slot machines.... even a few odd-one-out games that look like they should rather belong in an arcade. Try your luck, try your skill! If you prove successful, an employee is waiting to hand out various fun goods to you.
There are quite a few townspeople in attendance on this party, but there is a silent understanding that you tourists are the VIPs here. Anywhere you go, any game you want to try, the citizens are quick to move aside for you and let you have the maximum amount of fun.

in the afternoon, oda is at the hunting shop, but not looking for weapons. if anyone follows the sound of gunshots, then they'll find him at the shooting range, shooting at the targets with a neutral expression on his face.
later in the evening, he can be found at the diner, but he doesn't seem to be eating dinner. there's only a cup of coffee next to a notebook that he seems to be staring at with an expression that might be described as conflicted.
eventually he'll give up with it, focusing only on drinking his coffee and looking out the window. ]
Diner
The party bothered you that much?

The food was alright...I'm glad they did it for the others. It's just not somethin' I'm used to.
no subject
[He's been thinking it's a way for them to fool them into letting their guard down]
no subject
[ oda feels the same way, despite the lack of outward concern. ]
Although, if some do know, then there must be a reason why they can't tell us.
no subject
[Moloch showing he's not an optimistic person. He doesn't completely mean that, but there's a chance they do know and don't care these tourists' lives are i ndanger, he thinks]
no subject
Maybe. [ he shrugs. it's not like it's not a possibility...but it's just one oda himself has a hard time believing. ] Although maybe the ones that know are scared to say something.

[Like notes, or gestures, or anything. Even those who are intimidated can't hide the fact they're being coerced]

Hey.

Hey.

What, no kids to steal at the casino?
[It's meant as a joke, but with his tone it's hard to tell.]
no subject
[ and he'll take a long sip of his coffee, his expression deadpan. ]
no subject
Shame. Not any round here either.
[Excluding himself, not really classifying himself as a 'kid' anymore. He casts a glance over to the notebook.]
Writer's block?
no subject
[ he glances back at the notebook for a second, and then back at jughead. ]
It's just...been forever since I've written anything.

What did you used to write?

I'm not a writer. Can't really help there. I'd think you'd have plenty of material in a place like this, though.
