April 7th - Welcome Party

Welcome Party
Though you've never seen the casino before, it is easy to find today. This is partly attributable to the music spilling from open doors right into the town. The people of Cartesio have made good on their announcement - doubtlessly, there is a party going on here.
Anyone entering will be confronted with a friendly citizen pulling them aside to inform them of their dress rental service. Though it is called 'rental' there is no actual fee to be paid. The townspeople have simply brought a collection of suits and cocktail dresses into the casino foyer and they are offering to lend them out for the occasion. A folding screen to get changed behind is provided as well.
Once you venture deeper into the casino, you'll find yourself in a surprisingly spacious room. Tables that might normally occupy the open space have been pushed to the wall and filled with various buffet foods. Though you might be tempted to spend your whole afternoon trying out the various local specialties, the rhythmic music from the speakers tries to lure you to the dancefloor. A few locals are already swinging their hips to the beat.
Though if you're simply looking for the main highlight of a casino, you won't have to look long either. Across from the buffet, you will find a wide variety of game machines. Pachinko, slot machines.... even a few odd-one-out games that look like they should rather belong in an arcade. Try your luck, try your skill! If you prove successful, an employee is waiting to hand out various fun goods to you.
There are quite a few townspeople in attendance on this party, but there is a silent understanding that you tourists are the VIPs here. Anywhere you go, any game you want to try, the citizens are quick to move aside for you and let you have the maximum amount of fun.

[Keith looks like he'd rather eat shit than be at a party, but there's a new place in town and what's he going to do - not look around? That said, he ignored the hell out of the suggestion to change into a suit and is still wearing his armor (keet pls). Find him just standing by the wall doing some people watching. Invite him to dance, it'll be hilarious.]
games
[He can also be found playing blackjack at one of the tables, looking serious as all hell. Is he contemplating his next move? Is he calculating the probability that the next card will take him over twenty one? Or...]
Why is this called blackjack? There are at least two red jacks in a deck of cards, that name doesn't make any sense.
[Alternatively, he can also be found sitting in an arcade style race car game. He drives like a kindly old man. By which I mean, he's an utter menace who seems to only know two speeds: fast and faster.]
Blackjack
[That's...not the point, Moloch. But yeah, this guy has no idea]
no subject
That'd be just as unfitting a name.
[...]
Jacks don't even have the value you;re trying to hit.
[....]
Does anything about the name of this game make sense?
no subject
[Are you having fuuuuun with blackjack, Keith?]
racing!!
Which means Millium can hop into the booth beside Keith. She waits more or less patiently for him to finish his current race before punching the buttons on her own machine to enter the game.
It's time to versus mode.]
no subject
Don't think I'll take it easy on you just cuz you're a dangerous little kid.
no subject
Good! It's no fun if you just let me have it!
[Millium Orion has never been more ready for anything in her life.]
no subject
I could give you a three second headstart and you still wouldn't win.
[Loading screen's at about 90%. Take him up on that bet, y/n?]
no subject
Granted, this game is only shitty and easy to Keith. Millium has precisely zero experience with any sort of driving or piloting. But does that really matter in a game like this one?]
Like I even need one! And here you just said you weren't gonna go easy on me?
[Looks like that's a no. Countdown to race in 3, 2, 1...]
no subject
[Aaaaaand GO. Keith jams his foot down on the accelerator, and off his pixelated race car goes weaving between the others on the track to get an early lead. Watch out, Millium! First turn on the course is a hard left with plenty of opportunity to skid and crash into the wall.]

games
Dude, why is that what you're worried about right now?
no subject
I-- Look. Things have names for a reason, right?
[How is he the only one bothered by this....]
no subject
[Teasing is her native language, or something.]
no subject
[STILL EARNEST HERE????]
It's not like you'd be thinking about the game while you're not playing.
[He says as the dealer just looks at both of them with a raised eyebrow like dude, are you playing or not and are you joining in]
no subject
[And... Ah. On that note, she gestures towards the dealer.]
Speaking of which, looks like someone's getting impatient.

blackjack
[ bolin is looking at his cards intently, trying to figure out if he should stay or ask for another card. ]
no subject
Right? Who decided these things anyway.
[In front of him is a fairly small bet of about 20 bucks in chips. Keith doubles this and signals for another card. Considering it's not his money and it's no skin off his teeth if he loses the Sergeant's money, there's really no need to take any of this seriously. That said... who likes losing?]
dancefloor
Interesting interpretation of the dress code.
[He folds his arms as he leans against the wall.]
Expecting something?
no subject
I'm not letting anyone mess around with my paladin armor.
[It's stated like this should be obvious.]
It's bad enough that the Sergeant's toyed with it.
no subject
Toyed with it how?
no subject
[Translation: the armor is getting grody and sweaty. You're welcome in advance for the overshare...??]
Not sure how he managed it. The guy shouldn't be familiar with Altean tech.
no subject
[Nasty as it might be, though, it's pretty important.]
So the Sarge knows more than we think. [A thought.] Or he knows a guy.
