WEEK 2: April 8th - April 12th

Second Week

Seven days have passed. Quite peaceful days, almost too peaceful. The town has welcomed you, excited to see tourists for the first time in many, many, many years. Some may have liked the peace, others may have been annoyed by it, but it was undeniable Cartesio seemed like such a nice and safe place it was hard to believe you had been told to kill each other.

But the threat is still up in the air. What's more: how much patience does the Sergeant have left?

Every time you take a look into the Lodge, you see the Sergeant. Lately he's looking more and more annoyed. Even though you can't see his face, you can feel he's getting frustrated. How long will it be before he lashes out and does something about these peaceful days?

Nobody in the town could suspect the harrowing times that'd befall Cartesio.

When you wake up on Sunday, you'll find new maps in the map rack and brochures on the table, showing places you hadn't noticed in the town before. Enjoy!

[The doors creak, but don't open. Whatever locking mechanism these doors have, it's pretty weak. Not only that, the glass is also thin and looks like even a rock could shatter them.

There's a security alarm device on the very top of the doors. Looks like it'll activate as soon as anything happens to these doors]

We should probably do something about that alarm first.

[She keeps the arrow trained on him for a couple seconds longer before she lowers her bow and lets the string go slack, but she doesn't put the arrow away.]

What's the big deal? If it's keeping us from getting out, I can wreck it, no problem.

It's an alarm, it's not going to stop us, but it is going to draw attention to us.

[WHIRLS AROUND AND POINTS THE ARROW AT HER and she very nearly lets it go, if you're paying attention you can see how she has to make the effort to clamp her fingers back around the arrow to keep it from firing—that's some impressive control, anyway]

You wanna die?!

[Olympia doesn't even blink.

She's holding her other hand in front of her chest, though. Would that make a difference? Who knows?]

Yeah, so, like. If you shoot it, you're definitely gonna set off the alarm and send us all to jail. Which, I dunno about you? But the motel beds are prolly way more comfy than jail. Just sayin'!

I can try? But I can't guarantee I won't just break it n' set it off...

[This sounds like something Olympia would be offering, but Millium will quickly discover that it's actually an announcement of intent. Hopefully she isn't afraid of heights or anything!]

[Thankfully for everyone, there will be no high-pitched screaming today, for Millium is both very used to heights and okay with physical contact.]

Whup–! Umm, okay, just get me a little closer to it...!

[Millium's going to inspect it up close before she just tries to rip the damn thing out of the wall like some kind of barbarian. Anything of note?]

[When Millium grabs the device, she feels how flimsy it is. It indeed looks like you could rip it off with no effort. Just be careful if you do, the wires are live]

[This is the girl that woke up somewhere she didn't expect and started to eat the food that was in her lap. Do you really think live wires are gonna stop her?]

[It's rather high on the doors, but it's rather fragile if you can get your hands on it!]
