The peaceful times are over. Moloch von Zinzer was murdered, and Nine was sentenced as his murderer. Everyone in Cartesio knows that.
Although life goes on, it seems the town of Cartesio isn't going to forget the tourists' transgressions. Not only they commited larceny in the cinema, they also murdered and executed in their town! It's no surprise their hospitality towards the visitors has cooled down considerably.
Not only they're maintaining a tense cordiality with them, they also have started talking behind the visitors' backs. All kinds of rumors are starting to sprout, yet nobody seems to be willing to say it to the tourists' faces. Talking directly to most passerby makes them distrustful, and nobody seems to want to be in close quarters alone with them.
It's only matter of time before the relationship between tourists and Cartesio starts degrading even further.
In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and
the maps have been updated once again.

Which means it is time for dreams to no longer just be dreams! The Cartesio drive-in cinema is in the works!!
Cian collects people who are muscular and seem inclined to help at the junkyard to... drag cars over to the edge of the park, aligning them all facing in the same direction. She herself assists pushing from time to time, but her constitution is weak and she's not much help. So mostly, she's walking around offering water bottles to everyone who is helping. ]
Thank you so much, let me know if you need anything!
[ She's beginning to sound like a broken record here.
Later, she can be found in the park sitting on the hood of one of the cars that hopefully have been transported over. She looks super exhausted, wiping sweat off her forehead. ]
I don't... I don't think I've ever exerted myself this much in my life....
[ And even later, you'll find her putting up a sign by the cars that says CARTESIO DRIVE-IN CINEMA - in progress - . ]
... even though there is not much driving involved... maybe we should change the name.

Too bad we can't just drive them...

[ She's explored the inside of one earlier for a bit but all of it is just utterly alien to her. ]

Did you get some kind of projector?

[ She has no idea where Jughead is thinking of getting a projector from, other than through 'connections' but she trusts him. ]

later on in the evening, he sees her putting up the sign, so he moves over to her to chat]
It's still a drive-in! There're cars, and we're gonna watch a movie.
no subject
Well, we're not actually driving in or out though.
But walk-in-to-get-in-the-car-cinema is not nearly as catchy, it's true.

Aaaand makes herself cozy there while someone else continues to push the car. Crosses her legs and takes some time to inspect her bowstring.

mostly because he needs something to take his mind off of the entire situation, especially with sandalphon's disappearance and the fact that, by tomorrow, there might just be another body.
but every person has a limit and it seems he's finally reached his. after returning from the park, oda decides to lean against the next car for a quick rest. he's about to pull the box of cigarettes from his coat pocket when cian comes offering a water bottle, which he takes and promptly begins drinking from it. he practically downs about half of the water before he finally sighs in relief. ]
Thanks. [ he's not smiling, but his expression is gentle; he's grateful. ] You should rest, too.

[ She says, obviously pretty tired. But despite the exhaustion she also looks deeply content. Building something physically has been an amazing feeling and even though it's nothing that will be strictly useful in the future, it put Cian at ease. ]
You've done an amazing amount of work today, I really cannot thank you enough.

when she thanks him, he shakes his head. ]
It's nothing. I wanted to help somehow...even if it's just like this.

[ Credit where credit is due. Cian smiles at Dazai pretty happily though, despite the humble correction. ]
It's exciting, I haven't actually been to a drive-in myself before.

[It's easy for people to forget that kind of thing in a situation like this. The fact that there are those that haven't... that's kind of beautiful.]
