Fourth Week

A second murder shook the town of Cartesio. Clarisse's ambush plan ended with Katsuki Bakugou's death. Now what?

Nothing to be done other than continuing their life and watch what happens. After two weeks, after the deaths they have seen, it's hard to think there's a way out. The only option is to wait for the right chance to turn the tables and see a weak point in the Sergeant's plans -- and hopefully not see any murders.

The townspeople's attitude towards the tourists soured even more. The destruction of the church was much worse than anything they had seen so far, and they ran out of patience. People who in the past were nice and wanted nothing more than to make the tourists happy now aren't afraid of saying to their faces what's what. Random pedestrians shout at the visitors, telling them to stop being criminals. Although there are a few who have more patience than the rest, general opinion is clear:

The tourists are nuisances, to say the least.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

[Kino goes to take a look too?? A hand is hovering over the revolver, not yet drawing it, because we do not draw guns in the middle of a diner without anything to aim at.]

[He's going to give the jukebox a real suspicious look. Then outloud:]

[Fucking poltergeists ruining his day??]

[ The only thing that happens is that 99 Luftballons ends and Hot Stuff starts playing as scheduled. How does it feel to be ignored by the machine, Keith? ]

[marmoron]

[Wow, rude. The fuck is this. He'll continue to glare at the jukebox and listen to the lyrics of this freaking song JUST IN CASE THERE IS SOME KIND OF MESSAGE BEING SENT HERE???]

[ This time something does happen. The queue updates. Next in line is I want Candy.

And then after a moment... this updates to the tracklist as well. ]

[What. The. Fuck. Why the hell is this happening? But holy shit does his face go from baffled to just--

He feels like he's being trolled really hard right now. Can he explain it? No.

Indiscriminate anger???????]

The hell is the matter with you?!

[ The queue keeps updating merrily, totally ignorant of Keith's rage. In fact it just gives you 'song for Keith'.

But then the next tune is something totally different: 'Hawks'. ]

[Kino is so damn perplexed right now.]

...Do you want us to bring Mr. Hawks?

[doublelammy]

Are... are they talking to us with the music...?

[...At least it's not blood? Millium peers over at the queue nervously, hands clutched to her chest.]

...Hawks? What do you want with him?

[cartesio]

[ Neither Kino nor Millium receive an answer, the queue stays the same and the music simply keeps playing. ]

[marmoron]

[Okay. So the poltergeist i s calling people out by name now. Playing weird songs about hot mom's and wait--]

Hey, idiot. If htat's you, put that Stacy song back on.

[Golden rule of the universe: the things you think are dead are never fucking dead.]

[Someone here was TRYING to eat today but no, okay, the hauntings continue THIS IS HER LIFE NOW]

[Keith is just going to raise an eyebrow. There was a brief period of time in which he was also inclined to maybe not piss off the ghosts that left blood and stab marks all over his wall.

That time came to an end after they got him in trouble with the cops. AGAIN.]

Well then figure out a better way to get them to leave us alone.

...Getting on our hands and knees and pleading for our lives?

I.... It's not a ghost, is it? [ Just to double check though: can Sakura sense or see anything paranormal? ]

[cartesio]

[ There are no ghosts but she can sense two magical presences very, very faintly. ]

[clearities]

... Magic?

[ UM

Let's get more specific here and try to see if she can tell whose magical presence this is, even though it's faint. Just gonna. Concentrate real hard on that. ]

[cartesio]

[ The harder Sakura focuses on identifying the presences, the more they seem to be slipping away. They are nothing but metaphorical shadowy figures in her sensory experience. Identifying them is not possible. ]

[clearities]

Ah, no, [ her voice hesitates and her eyes snap open once again as her hand reaches out for something that isn't actually there. ] wait, come back!!

[cartesio]

[ Don't worry, Sakura, the presences do linger. They just continue to slip out of her grasp whenever she tries figuring out who they are. ]
