Week 5: Trial

      

Last time it was at dawn. Now it's at sunset. The Sergeant gave everyone plenty of time to investigate and gather evidence, and now that everyone entered the courtroom, he slammed his gavel.

"I can sense a few of you are feeling rather hostile. Remember you're in a courtroom, and you're being watched by everyone in town"

People's opinions of the visitors are already very low, but there's no need to feed them further with a brawl in the courtroom -- or so the Sergeant thinks. There are more podiums draped in black now. Five more people died, seventeen people are alive. How many will be left once the trial is over?

"This time we have three victims in total. Millium Orion, Cian Reikado, and Azura were the unfortunate victims last night, and now you shall debate and decide who is responsible for this.

These are your suspects. Vote for as many as you think are responsible for these crimes"

[Similar to when she found Jughead's body, she's not really shouting, her voice is just louder.

She fortunately does not actually attack Natalie or anything, just slams both hands down on the podium.]

[Olympia doesn't flinch. In fact, she barely seems to notice.]

After ninety-eight years why is this happening now?

[She doesn't respond to that, exactly. Instead—]

Why - why her?

It could only be her.

[She's gripping the edges of the podium tightly now.]

That's - that's bullshit, what does that even mean?

[carbide]

[No change in movement, but she's quieting back down now.]

If I had killed anyone else, I would have had to face her in the trial.

[ Sakura is right next to Olympia so she can't help but jump in surprise at the attempt and screams as well because SHE IS LITERALLY RIGHT THERE ]

Okay never mind staying put. He's running round- Oh for fuck's sake he's got to go round back. Welp.

Here goes attempted to get behind the angry robo to grab the tiny. Provided nothing happens she's being tossed on his shoulder like a sack.]

Time to haul ass back to Kino. Between Kino and Gant seems like a good spot to abandon her.]

Wayne's not lunging. If it was a person, he might be but she's got too much weight over his for him to want to fight. Even if his fists clench enough that his gloves creak. ]

All those hundreds of explorers, and nobody ever found a way to connect them to me!

[She's going to try to pull Natalie back now, because this is looking more and more dangerous.]

So you've killed plenty of people by now, but this is the first time you've been caught?

[She's quieting down a little, but also starting to talk kind of fast.]

They would die in the Labyrinth. Killed by monsters beyond their ability to defeat. No one realized I was responsible. Not except for the ones who lived.

[There's a pause. On some level.... well, no, that's irrelevant by now isn't it?]

[Against all advice, he's heading straight towards her podium.]

[Olympia gets into a fighting stance just for you, Keith.]

I am doing what I have to do.

[As much as he'd love to see her torn to shreds-- and would like to let him do that...]

Now is perhaps not the best time.

[He's going to stand between you just to be safe.]

We'll all get our chance later.

[She can't really move to stop him, but she will scream at him from nearby, as one does.]
