WEEK 3: April 15th - April 19th

Third Week

The peaceful times are over. Moloch von Zinzer was murdered, and Nine was sentenced as his murderer. Everyone in Cartesio knows that.

Although life goes on, it seems the town of Cartesio isn't going to forget the tourists' transgressions. Not only they commited larceny in the cinema, they also murdered and executed in their town! It's no surprise their hospitality towards the visitors has cooled down considerably.

Not only they're maintaining a tense cordiality with them, they also have started talking behind the visitors' backs. All kinds of rumors are starting to sprout, yet nobody seems to be willing to say it to the tourists' faces. Talking directly to most passerby makes them distrustful, and nobody seems to want to be in close quarters alone with them.

It's only matter of time before the relationship between tourists and Cartesio starts degrading even further.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

Paperclip, hair pin, knife... I could make a few different things work.

[If we're trying to leave the door in one piece.]

[Kino will produce one (1) knife from a pouch and glance over at Keith.]

That should do!

[Dazai grins and takes the knife. With some skill he pushes the blade into the lock as far as it will go. He gives a few twists of pressure... he sure seems to know what he's doing.

Can the door be unlocked?]

[ The door is unlocked! Congratulations, you've committed breaking and entering!

...Well, the breaking part at least. Are you going inside? It's only a little brighter than outside. ]

We're going in, right?

[Eh. He's done so much worse. It's fine.]

...I mean, we already opened the door.

[As much as she clearly Hates this idea.]

[Not saying a word, just veeeeery carefully opening the door a crack.

Time to do a security camera check!]

[ It'll take some sharp eyes, but after a moment...

There's a camera. Keith will be able to spy it, on a diagonal from them. They're thankfully in the blind spot, but stepping inside will get them seen. ]

[Kino taps Keith's shoulder, offering the other detached sleeve from the black jacket to tie around his face.

Gonna try some kinda stealth here?]

Not going to get rid of them?

[dO NOT MAKE THINGS WORSE.]

[Looks like they're both Prepared For Things, huh? Keith glances down at Kino and will indeed accept the sleeve. Face now obscured, he's still eyeing the camera -- weighing options.]

Either we shoot that camera down or the people who have their faces covered sneak in and disable the security system here..

[To the group.]

[Kino's prepared for most situations, for better or worse.]

If you can shoot down that one at least, that gives us more room to maneuver. Unless we have others who can hide their faces...

Either works for me, I don't mind either way. I can help shoot them if necessary.

[SHRUG.]

But there's another option. Bolin could take them out with a little help from the rocks. It would be less conspicuous at least.

Please don't shoot anything. This night is bad enough.

Taking out at least this camera might be wise, since we don’t know where the security system is stationed. Everyone will still have to be careful with either choice, just in case there’s a live security guard stationed at the monitor station.

...Anyone got something we can throw?

Either Kino-chan or I could shoot them easily.

But that would draw a lot of attention. Throwing something would be less loud but... ah.

Perhaps Bolin's ability could come in handy.

Just to be cautious, let's take a quick peek inside for any cameras first.

[Any signs of lights that might indicate camera activity?]

[ Looks like Keith found one. ]

We've come this far. Did anyone have a flashlight on them?

Yeah.

[Built into his armor. Not like he was planning on doing anything nefarious.]

[Aaaand Keith is here with a knife. It's a hunting dagger, so it might not be too helpful but.]

If the other doesn't, this might help. It never hurts to have a few~
