Fourth Week

A second murder shook the town of Cartesio. Clarisse's ambush plan ended with Katsuki Bakugou's death. Now what?

Nothing to be done other than continuing their life and watch what happens. After two weeks, after the deaths they have seen, it's hard to think there's a way out. The only option is to wait for the right chance to turn the tables and see a weak point in the Sergeant's plans -- and hopefully not see any murders.

The townspeople's attitude towards the tourists soured even more. The destruction of the church was much worse than anything they had seen so far, and they ran out of patience. People who in the past were nice and wanted nothing more than to make the tourists happy now aren't afraid of saying to their faces what's what. Random pedestrians shout at the visitors, telling them to stop being criminals. Although there are a few who have more patience than the rest, general opinion is clear:

The tourists are nuisances, to say the least.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

It left blood and gouge marks on my wall. I'm pretty sure it can handle me holding a sword.

I dunno, I'd be more worried about that if I were you. What if they grabbed the sword from you and rammed it through you?

[There is a reason her feet are planted firmly outside his door. She is not setting one toe into that haunted-ass room, no thanks.]

If it was going to attack me, it would just grab any other weapon I have in here.

[Not like the poltergeist is short on options....]

Besides if they tried to grab the sword from me, it'd just turn back into a dagger. I'm the only one here that can unlock this blade's sword form.

[A beat.]

You gonna come or not?

Keet, I dunno how to tell you this, but it doesn't really matter if a sword or a dagger stabs you. Neat party trick, but people die when they're killed.

Point is, I wouldn't go around taunting ghosts that leave blood n' slashes on your walls!

[And to that question:]

Heck no. I already moved outta my room 'cause it's haunted, why would I go into yours when it's even more haunted? Nooo thanks.

Fighting someone with a dagger's a lot easier than fighting someone with a sword is all I'm saying.

I wouldn't be so sure that people around here really stay dead. If it's anything like home, all the assholes keep kicking around. [A beat.] Pretty certain Nine was making weird comments about my mom again yesterday at the diner. Meaning all this crap [Gesturing at the wall with the sword.] is probably Clarisse's way of saying hi.

You're not afraid of Clarisse, are you?

[Listen, Keet. She likes you a lot, but you haven't exactly proven yourself smart, here.]

...You have a point, there. I think... Bakky might've been there, too. The second song, what was it... "Hot Stuff?" That's what Nine always called Bakky, I think. And then it brought up "Hawks..."

[To the question of being scared of Clarisse, she scoffs.]

Please. I killed her once, I can totally do it again. 'Specially now with Lammy!

But honestly, it's kinda comfier rooming with Oda and Dazai, anyway.

You think ghosts are going to leave you alone if you act all scared around them?

And I have! They're scary and see through and the one nearly killed us!

Ok. I'm sure that was real freaky and all, but if these ghosts wanted to kill us, don't you think they'd have done that already?

What was stopping them from just stabbing us while we were sleeping?

You may not be able to magically stop being scared, but that doesn't mean you can't start being brave whenever you decide to.

[It's what Hunk does, isn't it? But once the kinda-sorta encouragement is out of the way, it's back to his usual scheduled grumping.]
