Week 5: Trial

      

Last time it was at dawn. Now it's at sunset. The Sergeant gave everyone plenty of time to investigate and gather evidence, and now that everyone entered the courtroom, he slammed his gavel.

"I can sense a few of you are feeling rather hostile. Remember you're in a courtroom, and you're being watched by everyone in town"

People's opinions of the visitors are already very low, but there's no need to feed them further with a brawl in the courtroom -- or so the Sergeant thinks. There are more podiums draped in black now. Five more people died, seventeen people are alive. How many will be left once the trial is over?

"This time we have three victims in total. Millium Orion, Cian Reikado, and Azura were the unfortunate victims last night, and now you shall debate and decide who is responsible for this.

These are your suspects. Vote for as many as you think are responsible for these crimes"

[...There's a very, very cold stare.]

[Olympia goes completely silent for a moment.]

You can smell it.

[robitussin]

You're going to tell me what happened, now.

[quickpersuader]

[Paying attention to this.]

[carbide]

You can smell it. I never considered the possibility.

[There's no change in her tone but now might be a good time to back away a little.]

[robitussin]

[Someone please make her back away, because there's no way she's doing that of her own volition. Standing next to Millium's podium, her voice is as tense as it was when she first saw her body.]

...Say it. If you're implying what I think you are, then you fucking say it.

[unfashionably]

[ Not gonna make her back away but he is moving to stand at Mako's podium just in case things go bad. ]

Natalie.

[Kino will move in front of her, an arm between the two.]

Don't get yourself hurt now. If we're going to do this, we don't need you to join Millium and the others.

[robitussin]

[She doesn't tear her eyes away from Olympia for a moment, but she doesn't move to stop Kino, either.]

[carbide]

I never considered it!

[Similar to when she found Jughead's body, she's not really shouting, her voice is just louder.

She fortunately does not actually attack Natalie or anything, just slams both hands down on the podium.]

This has never happened before!

[robitussin]

[A long moment passes.

Then, she tries to lunge at her. It doesn't work, because Kino is there, but she's screaming.]

You bitch!

[carbide]

[Olympia doesn't flinch. In fact, she barely seems to notice.]

After ninety-eight years why is this happening now?

[clearities]

[ Sakura is right next to Olympia so she can't help but jump in surprise at the attempt and screams as well because SHE IS LITERALLY RIGHT THERE ]

What's never happen before!? What- You ain't got a sense of smell or some shit?

[Is this actually working?

Wayne's not lunging. If it was a person, he might be but she's got too much weight over his for him to want to fight. Even if his fists clench enough that his gloves creak. ]

[There's a pause. On some level.... well, no, that's irrelevant by now isn't it?]

What the hell is wrong with you?!

[Against all advice, he's heading straight towards her podium.]

[ While it definitely looks dry, Natalie will get the very distinct smell of fresh paint. ]
