Seven days have passed. Quite peaceful days, almost too peaceful. The town has welcomed you, excited to see tourists for the first time in many, many,
many years. Some may have liked the peace, others may have been annoyed by it, but it was undeniable Cartesio seemed like such a nice and safe place it was hard to believe you had been told to kill each other.
But the threat is still up in the air. What's more: how much patience does the Sergeant have left?
Every time you take a look into the Lodge, you see the Sergeant. Lately he's looking more and more annoyed. Even though you can't see his face, you can feel he's getting frustrated. How long will it be before he lashes out and does something about these peaceful days?
Nobody in the town could suspect the harrowing times that'd befall Cartesio.
When you wake up on Sunday, you'll find
new maps in the map rack and brochures on the table, showing places you hadn't noticed in the town before. Enjoy!

investigation!
In the evening he's lazing at the tavern, sans drink strangely enough. The why on that probably has to do with him asking the bartender for tea of all things and getting just about the response you would expect. Had to ask anyway, just to make sure. ]
Service is worse, but guess it's quieter.
Investigation
The fire damage is rather extensive. It's like the entire room was set ablaze, there's a lot of ash. The tiles of the floor and walls are charred, but somehow still safe to walk and lean on. Judging by the amount of ash, there must have been a lot of burnable stuff.
Still, despite that, everything is uniform. There's no clear idea of where exactly the fire started. Any fuels that may or may not have been used are long gone.
Worth noting the fire damage in the room stops right at the doorway, without even creeping to the stairs, and some distance away from the steel door, almost with a clear and defined limit.]

Sure, why not. Going to kneel down and activate his quirk in his left hand to lazily lob a small ember of fire outside the doorway. Mainly he's looking to see if the fire is instantly extinguished or whether it'll die in a few seconds without any real kindling like he would expect. For science and vandalism! ]

magicquirk stuff going on. That settled, he's gonna take one more look at the steel door just to make sure there's no hidden switches, knobs, or anything of the sort. ]no subject
Maybe, if you have enough strength, you could lift it up]

If you need muscle in the League of villains they're honestly running pretty low on it, at least in the traditional sense. Dabi's kinda lanky and lean more than muscular, but he's not a complete stick like some other people. So sure he can give this a go and try to lift up the shutter.
If it requires more than average stregnth that's fine, he has other options. They may or may not involve fire. ]

So he walks over from behind Dabi and leans on the counter. Sup. ]

That and the diurnal fights. [ Not really disagreeing there. On the other hand, he's not quite sure if he misses having to eventually break up said brawls. Tossup. ] Doubt the upstanding residents here would appreciate either.
no subject
The comment about the residents earns Dabi a laugh. ]
Bet you're right. It would liven things up though. Almost makes me wanna give it a try, too bad the mood's not right for a brawl. [ And he almost sounds wistful about that. Bar brawls are familiar and nice, what can he say? ]
no subject
Need more people for one. That probably wouldn't be hard to do to start. [ Strange, cause he almost sounds wistful too? It's nearly hidden in his drawl, but there's something to be said about how the relative silence in the tavern is grating, while the busy social areas of town are loud for all the wrong reasons. Where's his yelling for help and explosions ambiance, man. ]
no subject
Hey, if that's all you want—there are around thirty of us here, right? That's more than enough to make some noise.
no subject
We'd only need the explosive brat and the loud girl in armor to start a something. Maybe a few more just to be sure.

tavern
milkshakeremark brings all the blonds to the yard.Nine is going to look over from a few stool down. He has a coke. ]
It's weird as hell, that's what it is. [ A beat. ] And why would you order a tea here? It wouldn't taste good, yo. [ Cause do they even know how to tea and it might be sitting for days because who orders tea at a tavern, Dab Master ]
no subject
This whole place is. [ Weird, he means. Is it his fault he's adding to it? I mean just look at him.] The bar I'm used to serves it.
no subject
[ He'll offer it over. Want to try? ]
no subject
I did. Feels kinda like the base. I can sterilize things, just fine y'know. [ Helpfully lighting his left palm on fire for emphasis. ]
and now I'm thinking of bird jokes
[ Cause that would be some impressive control.
Also might be because he could use some extra meat? ]
me all the time
No. [ There's a lot more to be said here, but Dabi doesn't care to explain. Valid point on the food tbh, but he's used to people running away from him. Y'all are being way too nice to a high ranking villain. ]
Point is, I can sterilize the glasses. Alcohol's safe on it's own and if the water was tainted that defeats the Sergeant's whole "evil" plan.

tavern
You'd probably get better service if you actually came here for what this place is supposed to sell, you know.

Aren't the residents supposed to be treating us to their great hospitality?
no subject
[Although, after a pause...]
...Although, maybe I should be thankful for that, considering what happened to that one guy. Or presumably happened to him, at least.
no subject
Ah, the firebender. Maybe next fit he throws the Sergeant will toss his body at us for motivation.
no subject
Dude, don't even say it. He's going to hear you and take it as inspiration.
