Sunday must have been exhausting for you, maybe even upsetting. A new town, new faces and a an ominous order from a man without a face... who wouldn't be a little frightened? Hopefully, all of that is forgotten when you climb out from under your blankets this fine Monday. Rise and shine! A new morning is a new start!
If you make your way to the lounge, you will find a few copies of the local newspaper provided for your perusal. Once you go outdoors, you'll find the weather forecast 100% accurate. It's pretty impressive.
It seems that quiet mornings like this are going to be your everyday life now. Maybe you should see this whole stay as a vacation? Go out and explore the town, meet your fellow motel guests and meet the townspeople. They're sure to welcome you with a smile!
This week's special in the diner is lemon pie made with love (and a top-secret recipe)

[You know all those boxes of stuff that's now cluttering the motel lobby and the sidewalk outside? The boxes that are addressed to some genius named "Keith" ? Yeah. He'll be busy moving all this stuff into his room and trying to make it fit inside so that nobody trips over the merchandise or whatever. He isn't complaining about it, but dang he is not having fun right now.
There are a couple of boxes stacked on top of each other that he's attempting to move inside, but it sure is box hell and he might just bump into someone while carrying an armful of... way too many guns.]
You okay?
diner - evening
[Keith is quite literally draped over a table as he reads the menu. It's been a long day....]
Motel
You really did it, huh.
[Kino's voice is deadpan. Amazing.]

Huh. Sure is a lot of these.
[She got a bow and arrows for herself on like hour one and a half of her stay, and she has them strapped to her back right now, as always.]
no subject
There sure are.
[He's read through the guest book, raised a few eyebrows here and there. Clarissa's one of the people who stood out. The bow and arrows definitely don't help. Noooot that Keith can talk because he's got a couple of knives strapped to his paladin armor.]
Gonna put that back?
[It's the principle of the thing really. Grabby hands are annoying.]
no subject
[She...doesn't know what a gun is. She keeps moving it around in her hands with absolutely no regard for any amount of basic gun safety? She has absolutely nothing to gain from this except being annoying.]

All Day
[Moloch's voice already has disapproval, and it'll be worse when he finds out it's all from the hunting store. What the heck, Keith]
no subject
[That's.. so beyond the point here, but Keith is being Keith. That is to say, difficult. He picks up another box and starts moving it towards his room. Nothing to see, this is just another ordinary day.]
no subject
[Especially because he doesn't want to carry weapons. The only thing he has is a wrench he got from the junkyard]
What do you need all this for, anyway?

[He may be unnaturally pretty in the face, but Eric is definitely not delicately built - and he's dressed less ostentatiously today, no cloak to get tangled up in anything.]
I don't suppose you'd let me trade help with carrying all that in for a look through it, and maybe a knife?
no subject
What do you need the knife for?
[The question is utterly devoid of any recognition that he's in no position to be asking what people want with weapons here....]
no subject
A knife is a fair substitute for a spearpoint. If there is the head of a pole axe or a boar spear somewhere in all of this, well... you've got me at a disadvantage, then. I'm not sure what I could offer of value. Artwork may be fine if you have to pay for your coffee, but you are most definitely not running a cafe.
[Veering perilously close to babbling to avoid admitting that he feels sort of naked without a weapon? This guy?
...yeah, that's exactly what he's doing.]
(no subject)
you have no idea how hard I had to work to not call him "human Lotor" in the narration, my god
I can see why lmao. He's even kind of got the hair...
he also has the very brittle ego and absolute conviction that he's on the right path c:
Diner
Maybe someone should check on the boy. ]
Good evening. Mind if I join you?
no subject
Why?
[The question is blurted out before he can think to at least be more polite. It's not hostile, just completely baffled. Why would you want to sit and eat dinner with him.
This is about the most self awareness he's shown all day. There's an awkward moment where he considers saying something to smooth this over at least a little, but then decides -- nah, he's fine with it.]

We live in the same place, I thought it'd be nice to get to know each other.
[ ... but apparently half of the people in this town are Miach Mihie. Cian really thought she'd know better how to handle people of this kind, but it's been 13 years since Miach was her whole world and even then, Miach had always been the exception. And even then, Miach had never rejected her. ]

Can I help you?
[Just a stab in the dark here, but he's going to guess that this is really just a prelude to: "wtf is up with the weapons" and he's not really in the mood since he's heard it all. day. long.]
no subject
[He gives a nod and leans forward.]
So. The guns.
[You were right on the money, Keith.]
What is up with that?
