April 7th - Welcome Party

Welcome Party
Though you've never seen the casino before, it is easy to find today. This is partly attributable to the music spilling from open doors right into the town. The people of Cartesio have made good on their announcement - doubtlessly, there is a party going on here.
Anyone entering will be confronted with a friendly citizen pulling them aside to inform them of their dress rental service. Though it is called 'rental' there is no actual fee to be paid. The townspeople have simply brought a collection of suits and cocktail dresses into the casino foyer and they are offering to lend them out for the occasion. A folding screen to get changed behind is provided as well.
Once you venture deeper into the casino, you'll find yourself in a surprisingly spacious room. Tables that might normally occupy the open space have been pushed to the wall and filled with various buffet foods. Though you might be tempted to spend your whole afternoon trying out the various local specialties, the rhythmic music from the speakers tries to lure you to the dancefloor. A few locals are already swinging their hips to the beat.
Though if you're simply looking for the main highlight of a casino, you won't have to look long either. Across from the buffet, you will find a wide variety of game machines. Pachinko, slot machines.... even a few odd-one-out games that look like they should rather belong in an arcade. Try your luck, try your skill! If you prove successful, an employee is waiting to hand out various fun goods to you.
There are quite a few townspeople in attendance on this party, but there is a silent understanding that you tourists are the VIPs here. Anywhere you go, any game you want to try, the citizens are quick to move aside for you and let you have the maximum amount of fun.

but casinos, like the ones that he's seen in movies? he's never been to one. he doesn't have money to travel, so it's always been a dream of his to go to one... now, here one is, available to him. he swears he must have died and gone to heaven. he's ready to have the night of his life.
he cleans up nice, that's for sure. but he's still the same Osomatsu deep down. he's still a guy who has never been to a party, so he's kind of awkward. don't mind him as he crams every bit of food onto a small plate at the buffet. he likes to eat. and drink. sometimes the food doesn't even make it to the plate at all. he just picks it up and shovels it into his mouth. he's eating fast because he wants to get to the games.
he does look at the dance floor, kind of like a deer in the headlights. he doesn't dance, but he sort of wants to...
finally, Osomatsu makes it over to the machines. he's pleasantly surprised to see pachinko there! he'll come back to that, for sure, but he wants to try other types of machines he's never played before. he works on a slot machine for a little while, drawn in by the bright colors and loud sounds. you can talk to him, if you want. he doesn't seem to be having very much luck. but what does he care? he's got a debit card with money on it! and he's going to spend, spend, spend!]
dance floor
Oso~!
[She trots up beside him, just about bouncing on her toes.]
Why're you just standing here?
no subject
Hey, Milli-chan! I'm, uh. I'm just doin' a bit of people-watching.
no subject
Okay, but, like. The dance floor is totally right there. You should go!
no subject
I mean, I totally would, but... I wanna leave a good impression here!
[dancing around naked at home is one thing!]
no subject
[Clearly, she has to take matters into her own hands – literally, as she's reaching out to grab his.]
C'mon! Dance with me!

You know you're going to choke if you keep going that fast, right?
no subject
Worrying about me again, huh? Are we gonna make a habit out of this? [a sly grin as he wipes at his mouth with the back of his hand]
no subject
[She rolls her eyes.]
no subject
Okay, okay! I promise I won't inconvenience you! [a beat, as he settles down] You enjoying yourself?
no subject
This place is weird, and if one more townsperson here tries to get me to put on a dress, I'm going to scream.

Machines
How are you supposed to know if you won?
[Moloch is sure machines like these exist somewhere in his world, but he doesn't remember hearing much about them. He has no idea what he's supposed to do]
no subject
Grrr. [he swipes a drink as it's coming by from one of the waitresses, then turns to look at whoever is talking to him. sorry he's not in a better mood]
They're supposed to, like, light up an' spit tokens at you, I think. I haven't gotten anything yet. Damn thing's probably rigged.
no subject
[That makes sense -- if this is a business they'd want to limit their losses, but still, it kind of surprises him]

It's not our money, it's that Sergeant guy's money. Who cares if you lose if it's him who's going to have to pay?
[Trying to point a possible bright side to the losing streak, yep]

[This suit has a lot of layers... they are in the desert... she wears bikinis to fights ok, she's Concerned(tm). It IS surprisingly stylish though. To contrast, Niwa's black dress is shorter than her suit one, and she's sipping on cold mocktails.]
no subject
Oh, yeah! I'm hot in anything. [he winks at her. he's... probably joking, or maybe he does think he looks cool]
no subject
[She smiles abashedly.]
Gosh, I don't know how I should say this. Umm. Would you have the time... to come over to my motel room after the party?
no subject
speaking of which, Osomatsu watches her as she asks the question. and it's... such an interesting question. he blinks in surprise, then pulls back, jerking. he looks like he might explode]
Y-y-y-you... want me to c-come to your r-r-room? [holy crap]
no subject
Oh my gosh! W-Was that rude to ask!? Are you okay?

machine time
The key is to line up matching pictures.
[...state the obvious, apparently. Or maybe make fun of Osomatsu's bad luck. It's hard to tell which, really.]
no subject
I know that. [he finally turns his head to look at her] I just haven't been able to match any.
no subject
Maybe this just isn't the right game for you.
no subject
Maybe not... But this machine owes me, yanno? I've been sittin' here for over an hour!
