Week 2 - after trial

[everyone is probably more than a little stunned over what has been going on. while it is true that the Sergeant told them all this would happen, it's different to have to witness it with one's own eyes. while Nine is led away, and the townspeople leave the court, it is up to the visitors to decide how to move forward. do they talk among themselves? do they reflect on the events that took place alone? one thing that is certain is that the Sergeant got his way this week. will he continue to force them to keep picking each other off in the weeks that come? only time will tell.
this isn't really an after party. it's too sad, but perhaps many people will take comfort in the fact that they are not alone. either mingle at the motel, or somewhere else in town, or even visit Nine in his cell. it's up to you as to how you will spend the rest of this afternoon]

ELSEWHERE IN TOWN
Diner
People are free to question Kino's volunteering to execute Nine, but otherwise, Kino seems to be content going through the rest of the day normally.]

What was that about?

Which thing?

You plan on sitting like that all night or what?
no subject
No... I'm going to go back to my room a little later. It's just that this place reminds me of a few things, and it makes it easier for me to think.

pond
She can be found there for a while, skipping small stones into the water. Well... Skipping might be the wrong word. Her focus isn't so much on making the rocks glide across the surface as having something to do with her hands. Given that, most of the rocks just sink without much ado.
If she notices anyone approach, she won't leave, but she doesn't start a conversation, either.]
no subject
He comes to pick up a rock before tossing it across the water, watching it skip for sure in comparison to her throws. It brings back memories of when he used to do the same.
He's not entirely the best with people, but doing something like this? Yeah, definitely. ]

shooting range
Anyone watching her shoulder her way through the motel after completing her post-trial pit stop to her room should know where she's going—and so here she is at the shooting range with her new bow. Arrows fire into the target's center, into whatever poor woodland creatures wander nearby or fly overhead. More than once, one arrow splits another already lodged into the target, but somehow it only seems to annoy Clarisse, whose scowl just deepens.
She shifts enough to acknowledge anyone else's approach, but without turning away from her shot.
Thunk, thunk, thunk, one arrow and then the next, always hitting their mark. But if she's getting anything out of this, it doesn't show.]
no subject
So he's grabbing a box of bullets and going to the range. He nods at her, not really surprised to see her there. And wordlessly goes to the far end to shoot at the targets.
The two really talkative people here...Yup.]

park
She spends much of the night perched up in the branches of a tree, staring out into nothing at all and sometimes swinging her legs.
It might be easier to hear her. For the most part, she's quiet, but occasionally, the tears well up again and then she's crying.
It's not even entirely about Nine, although there's no denying she's positively crushed. It's that, but it's also everything that's happened in the past couple of months catching up with her at once, and her body is taking this whole crying thing for a joyride like a child that's just learned a new word.
She'll come down and talk to anyone who wants to talk to her, but she's not exactly hunting anyone else down for conversation.]
no subject
Well, she doesn't do anything for a long few minutes. She isn't sure what to do - she's not well versed in giving comfort, and there's still a large of her that wants to shy away from getting on that level. Eventually, though, for whatever reason:]

Diner + Wandering
So he's going on a run. No place especially in mind, he's just going to be everywhere.
He liked Nine. Kid wasn't the sharpest, but he was genuine.]
A shame...He'd have made a decent hero, probably.
----
[After exhausting himself running around, and a quick stop at a grocery store, Hawks makes his way to the diner. He doesn't even pause before hopping into the kitchen behind the counter. Literally over the counter, actually.
He's making his own food, and no one can argue.
This week hasn't been fun, so comfort food it is. Maybe a nap later as well, he hasn't slept more than a couple hours at a time since he got here.]
Wandering ---> Abandoned Building
The blond notices the man on his run, and he happens to be nearby the Abandoned Building. So, quickest way to get his attention as always is doing some shouting. ]

She's come here in hopes of finding something she understands a little better, and she's succeeded at finding the dartboard. It's not really something she has a lot of experience with, but it's simple and straightforward and doesn't involve complex feelings, so she takes this time to try it out.]

Diner/park
Later on, he can be seen at the park, sitting on the bench again and staring into the distance. He still has the knife out, and is twirling it between his fingers.]
diner
the somber mood in there hits him like a truck the moment he opens the door. he wants to hang out with a familiar face, so upon seeing Franciscus, he moves to sit near him. he won't crowd, in case Franciscus doesn't want to talk, but he's sure as hell unsatisfied, too, and misery loves company]
