WEEK 2: April 8th - April 12th

Second Week

Seven days have passed. Quite peaceful days, almost too peaceful. The town has welcomed you, excited to see tourists for the first time in many, many, many years. Some may have liked the peace, others may have been annoyed by it, but it was undeniable Cartesio seemed like such a nice and safe place it was hard to believe you had been told to kill each other.

But the threat is still up in the air. What's more: how much patience does the Sergeant have left?

Every time you take a look into the Lodge, you see the Sergeant. Lately he's looking more and more annoyed. Even though you can't see his face, you can feel he's getting frustrated. How long will it be before he lashes out and does something about these peaceful days?

Nobody in the town could suspect the harrowing times that'd befall Cartesio.

When you wake up on Sunday, you'll find new maps in the map rack and brochures on the table, showing places you hadn't noticed in the town before. Enjoy!

[The reels are unmarked. No name, no marks...perfectly generic reels, yet they were left here on the rack instead of thrown around. How curious]

Combine powers in Jughead's thread maybe after we know?

[ Very curious. He'll pull them off the rack and bring them over to the projector expert who is hopefully NOT mangling his hands.]

[There are two reels. For convenience, Reel #1, and Reel #2.

The quality of this film isn't very good. It stutters, cuts some frames, until it finally gets stable enough to show something.

An image with a lot of noise. It's some sort of weird neon sign, bright and on, on some brick wall. Pretty gaudy! Perhaps it's the logo of the cinema you're in right now?

Afterwards, words appear underneath it:

"RETRIEVE THIS OBJECT"

Looks like you have found the objective]

[Olympia, who absolutely has been in here the whole time, stares. Which isn't particularly unexpected, but this is a frownier stare than usual.]

A wheel?

I think it wants us to steal the sign?

[ Scratching his head. ]

[carbide]

So, if not murder, he's fine with stealing?

[Those seem like rather different levels of severity...]

[linearcrash]

It sounds like he's good with a little mayhem.

[doublelammy]

[! Hey! Guess who actually has information on this and isn't useless?]

Yeah.

I suggested it to 'im our first week here, if we couldn't just smash things instead of killing each other, and then he sent us to bust up that abandoned building.

So yeah, he's pretty down with whatever.

Huh?! Did you guys set that fire?

[ HEY LOOK it's been solved maybe ]

Stealing isn't as bad as murder. [it's still bad] I wonder where this sign is...

It might be at the end of the map.

[Well then he’ll help with number two here!]

[Reel #2!

Once Nine and Jughead take off the other reel, Dazai can insert this one. The quality is better. Once it's stable it shows a map. Most of it is greyed out, but there are a few rooms that are different.

First, there's the projection room you're in. Once you open the door near the film rack, there's a hallway that leads to the lobby, which also has a section named as 'concession stand'. Further down the hallway, there are stairs, with a very large lock symbol over them.

Other than the places mentioned, it doesn't seem like there are any other areas for you to get access to]

Interesting. It seems me have a scavenger hunt on our hand.

[At least he seems to be having fun.]

Jughead just opened that door over there. Guess it wants us to gank the logo or something.

[ Let's follow the map dude in a frumpy looking trench coat. ]

[GUESS WE'RE FOLLOWING ON THIS NEW ADVENTURE. They get to be the meatshields and go ahead this time.]

[Way to go, guys, you're on the hallway!

As mentioned before, there are two places you can go to: the lobby and the locked stairs. Where could your objective be?]

No telling how big it will be-- we'll probably need a few heavy lifters.

[Waves around his noodle arms casually.]

[ He's a strong tank. ]

[Franciscus follows, looking around for anything with the logo on it.]

[When Franciscus peeks onto the lobby of the cinema, he'll find there's indeed that logo plastered on many places, most notably a rug on the floor. Pretty much makes clear what the logo is. The sign itself doesn't seem to be placed on any of the walls, though]
