Fifth Week

Everything's getting worse. Rose Nylund and Frasier Crane murdered Jughead Jones during the event Jughead worked so hard to organize. Given some of the townspeople were in attendance, it didn't give a good impression -- if the visitors did this when trying to be good people and get along with Cartesio, then how will they behave once they get into destroying everything? The cruel method of Jughead's death also left everyone quite horrified, too.

That may be why it's no surprise the town's quiet unrest is slowly turning into real, tangible fury.

During the week, from time to time stones break some of the windows of the motel, looking outside shows a random passerby running away. Graffiti is left on the walls: 'SEE IF YOU LIKE THIS' 'MURDERERS' 'YOU'RE GOING TO DESTROY US ALL', and other similar messages. Some of the store owners hesitate when the visitors approach, but they don't refuse service because money is always nice.

The Sergeant's pervasive influence is starting to cover not only you, but also the entire town of Cartesio. After all, everything that's happening to you and the motel? It's the result of what you and the other visitors have done.

In the lobby of the motel there's a few more brochures, and the maps have been updated once again.

[ After last week flipped the script, so to speak, you may...or may not be expecting to find yourself someplace unexpected at 10PM tonight. You may find yourself trying to prepare for it. Whatever you do, when 10PM comes, what you'll see is...

...Darkness. You're definitely somewhere. Inside? There's no wind, just the steady sound of a ceiling fan, swinging around and around. However, the thick fog may confuse the senses. How big is this place? How many of the others are in here? You can't see.

It seems you have to find a way out. ]

Before moving around too much, she’ll call out:]

Hello? Anyone else there?

[Kino is once again making use of the mask and uniform, meaning her voice is somewhat muffled when she responds:]

I'm here.

Anybody out there?

[ why can't i be cool like toph and use my feet to see? bolin is going to stumble around and try to find his way around? ]

[ After a moment he'll stumble into something! It's...hard? Want to feel around it? ]

[Well, Olympia was definitely expecting something to happen, but...

She's been to the Porcelain Forest, she can keep track of her location in a dark room. Not that it helps when she doesn't know where she started, but she'll start by trying to position herself under the fan as a reference point.]

[ Strangely enough? You can't find the fan's location. It seems to be coming from multiple directions. ]

I-I can't see anything!

[ How much are you flailing, Osomatsu? Like...farther from your starting point? ]

[Yeah, alright. Back to being whisked away on a whirlwind adventure. One hand's going for the dagger, other hand's turning on the light on his paladin armor.

What's there to see?]

[cartesio]

[ A lot of fog. A lot. You can't see past the hand in front of your face, even with the light. You're going to have to feel around. ]

[ Even though Sakura can't see, can she sense anything magical or spiritual here? ]

[ Nothing magical. ]

Well, let’s see...

[He’s actually wondering if this is fog or smoke, so he’ll lift his gas mask up some to take a sniff.]

[cartesio]

[ It's definitely fog. Nothing smoke-like. ]

[ Wow, this is a first. It's more than a little disorienting to be in the dark, but it makes sense. He is the light dragon slayer, right?

So, what happens if he tries using White Drive to try his glow-in-the-dark trick? ]

[cartesio]

[ While it does help some, Sting will have a hard time seeing farther than a foot out, due to the intense fog. Still...maybe you can help people feel around a little better? ]

[ This is fun.

Fire doesn't work as well in fog as darkness, but it's a start. Lighting his left hand aflame is a go, how's the visibility now? ]

[ About as well as it is with Sting. ]

Gerard? [Franciscus reaches out and is able to feel the avian Pokemon at his side, at least.] Can you try to get rid of some of this fog for me? [He feels a slight nod, and Gerard spreads his wings and starts flapping, trying to disperse the fog as much as he can.]

[ Some fog blows away...but it's so thick and it doesn't seem like there's much of a place for it to go. It only gives you about a foot of visibility. ]

Oh good, sensory deprivation. Never happens when you want it to.

[ hm, fog and a fan are a weird combo. she's been in a lot of weird clubs with #ambiance, does the fog smell natural, or like the junk in fog machines? ]

[ oda is quite calm, but he'll move to his right, feeling around for anything like a wall. ]

[cool cool time to seek a way out. Niwa clutches her spading fork close.]

I-I don't like this...

[Not being able to see really pisses her off actually, so she'll put some effort in at one of these things for once. First things first, since it seems like they're indoors, she'll try to find a wall to follow.]

[after bumming around in the kitchen, Osomatsu returns to the room they started in. the sitting room? he's going to start looking for more things. he's got the knife inside the bowl in one hand, and he uses his other hand to feel around.
